Brooks announced their engagement on September 12, 2025. Public reporting records them together as recently as July 2026, but does not confirm a wedding or wedding date.
December 2019: First reported together
The earliest reported public link between Hemsworth and Brooks came in December 2019, when they were seen in Byron Bay, including at lunch with Hemsworth’s parents. The Los Angeles Times and Us Weekly place the first public sighting in that month. It is the clearest starting point for a public timeline, not proof of when they met or began a relationship.
2020: Early reports and rumors
In 2020, Us Weekly described the pair as continuing to spend time together while keeping a low profile. Nine’s retrospective timeline also notes breakup rumors in May, followed by Hemsworth speaking about spending time with Brooks. These reports offer context, but neither a rumor nor a quiet public period establishes the state of a private relationship.
June 2021: A joint Instagram appearance
In June 2021, Hemsworth shared photos from the Gold Dinner charity event in Sydney that included Brooks. His caption focused on raising funds and awareness for children’s mental health. Cosmopolitan dates this as their Instagram appearance together; it came well after the first reported sighting, so the two milestones should not be conflated. Cosmopolitan’s timeline also records Brooks’s explanation for their limited public disclosure: “My personal relationship is very, very important and very sacred to me. And I feel like in an industry where so much is put out on show, there are some things you just want to keep to yourself.”

- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
November 2022: Red-carpet debut
Their first red-carpet appearance together was at the Sydney premiere of Hemsworth’s film Poker Face in November 2022. ELLE notes that breakup rumors had circulated that August, but the couple did not publicly address them. The premiere is a documented joint appearance, rather than a confirmation of private details. ELLE’s timeline covers the appearance and later sightings.
2023–2025: Occasional public appearances
Later timeline reporting records the pair at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and the National Gallery of Victoria gala in late 2023, and at the Australian Open in 2025. These events provide public checkpoints, but do not reveal how the relationship was developing away from cameras. Because Brooks has said she values keeping the relationship private, gaps between reported appearances should not be treated as evidence of a breakup.

September 12, 2025: Engagement announcement
Brooks announced the engagement in an Instagram post on September 12, 2025, showing the couple and her ring. The Los Angeles Times reported the announcement that day, describing them as engaged nearly six years after their first public sighting. That “nearly six years” refers to the span between the reported sighting and the announcement; it does not establish their exact relationship start date. The ring had prompted speculation the month before, but the announcement is the clear confirmation.
October 2025–July 2026: Appearances after the announcement
Us Weekly reported that their first red-carpet appearance after the engagement announcement was at the London premiere of The Witcher season four on October 23, 2025. ELLE later recorded them at the Australian Open in February 2026 and reported their attendance at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding in July 2026. These sightings show that they appeared together publicly on those occasions; they do not announce or establish plans for their own wedding.
