MrBeast’s money comes from a creator-led business: video advertising and sponsorships bring in revenue, while Feastables and other ventures add product sales. That business revenue is not the same as Jimmy Donaldson’s personal income, and it does not all go to charity. Beast Philanthropy says revenue from its own YouTube channel funds its charitable work; its projects have included food distribution, wells, meals, school supplies and other community support.

How MrBeast makes money

The model begins with a large video audience. Views create opportunities to earn advertising revenue, and brands pay to sponsor videos. The audience also helps support businesses that sell products outside the videos, especially Feastables. Each stream has different costs and accounting, so a reported sales figure cannot be treated as profit or as money Donaldson personally took home.

Advertising and sponsorships

In a 2024 TIME interview, Donaldson described annual revenue of roughly $600 million to $700 million. He also said an individual video could bring in a couple million dollars from advertising and a couple million from brand deals. These are his attributed descriptions of the business at that time, not audited accounts, a current revenue figure, or his personal earnings.

Feastables and other businesses

Feastables, MrBeast’s chocolate and snack business, became a substantial part of the operation. TIME reported in 2024 that Feastables accounted for about 70% of MrBeast’s revenue in its second year. Separately, Fortune’s 2025 report, relaying Bloomberg reporting based on materials sent to potential investors, put Feastables’ 2024 sales at about $250 million and its profit above $20 million. The figures refer to different years and measures: the 2024 TIME profile’s share-of-revenue description is not the same metric as 2024 sales or profit.

MrBeast Burger is a dated example, not proof of a current revenue stream. TIME reported that the virtual restaurant business launched in December 2020, reached a reported 1,700 virtual locations and had generated $100 million in total revenue by August 2022. It later became embroiled in a legal dispute. That history does not establish its present status or contribution to the business.

Why business revenue is not personal wealth

Revenue is money coming into a business; profit is what remains after its costs; personal income is what an individual receives. The figures reported for MrBeast’s operation do not collapse into a single personal-wealth number. TIME said the production company was not profitable in 2023 and was not expected to be profitable in 2024. Donaldson described putting business proceeds back into content and operations: “whatever we make, we reinvest.” Those are historical statements from the 2024 interview, not evidence of the company’s profitability in 2026.

The scale of production helps explain why large revenue does not automatically mean a large, freely spendable personal payout. Donaldson described the content operation as “a never-ending treadmill” and said, “It’s brutal.” The reviewed sources do not establish a current audited personal net worth, annual personal income, or total lifetime amount donated, so online estimates of those totals should not be mistaken for verified financial figures.

Where Beast Philanthropy’s money and support go

Beast Philanthropy describes itself as a 501(c)(3) founded by Donaldson. The organization says revenue from views on its own YouTube channel funds its work, both through direct programs and partnerships with field-verified organizations. Its donation page says 100% of that channel’s revenue goes to the philanthropy’s operation. That commitment is specifically about the Beast Philanthropy channel; it does not mean all revenue from Beast Industries, Feastables, or Donaldson personally is donated.

The organization identifies hunger, child labor and community impact as focus areas. It says it selects projects for scale, verifiability and shareability, and uses direct programs, time-bound campaigns and media platforms to deliver support. These are the nonprofit’s descriptions of its priorities and approach.

Reported projects and outputs

Beast Philanthropy’s 2022 annual report says it distributed more than 1.2 million pounds of food across North Carolina and served 21 communities. The report also describes wells in Africa, one million meals, school supplies, homes for homeless families, aid to Ukrainian refugees and tornado recovery efforts. Those are reported activities and outputs for that period, not a single cash-donation total.

TIME’s 2024 profile described a prior effort that distributed more than $30 million worth of food that was going to waste. That is the reported value of food distributed, not necessarily cash given to recipients. In June 2025, the Associated Press reported examples of other support, including treatment for rheumatic heart disease in Nigeria, endangered-animal protection in Kenya, wells and cataract surgery for 1,000 people. The examples span different projects and forms of assistance rather than one common measure of money donated.

Fundraising beyond the channel

Charitable support has also involved fundraising beyond revenue from the nonprofit’s YouTube channel. The Associated Press reported in June 2025 that an offer connected with Beast Games Season 2 invited the first 40 donors giving $100,000 to receive a studio visit and other access. This was a specific fundraising offer, not a standing term for ordinary donations.

What “donated it” does—and does not—mean

MrBeast’s videos often feature large giveaways, but an entertainment-video giveaway is not automatically the same thing as a donation made by Beast Philanthropy. Likewise, channel revenue committed to the nonprofit’s operations is not the same as all company revenue or Donaldson’s personal wealth. Feastables purchases and merchandise should not be assumed to fund the charity; the sources cited here do not establish that connection.

The clearest supported picture is a business that earns from advertising, sponsorships and owned products, with substantial reinvestment described by Donaldson, alongside a separate nonprofit that says its own channel revenue funds charitable work and that also uses partnerships and fundraising. Published financial descriptions are dated and differ in scope, so they cannot establish a current personal fortune or lifetime giving total.
