If IRL Pro keeps disconnecting from YouTube, first replace any potentially stale stream URL or key, then check whether the connection can sustain your bitrate. For mobile streaming that loses packets while you move, the IRL Pro-specific Enhanced IRL guide recommends trying SRT instead of RTMP; if you are already using SRT, lower the bitrate. These are troubleshooting steps, not a diagnosis of Indian broadband providers: the available guidance does not establish a fault with any particular ISP, carrier, city, or connection type.
Start by checking the YouTube stream and credentials
A disconnect can come from the encoder-to-relay or relay-to-YouTube path, but a saved destination can also stop working when its URL or key changes. Confirm the current stream and credentials before changing network settings.
- In YouTube Studio, open the Live Control Room and select the intended stream. Confirm the current server URL and stream key for that stream.
- Update IRL Pro’s destination fields with the current values, matching the format expected by the service or relay you use. YouTube’s encoder workflow puts the server URL in the encoder’s server field and the key in its stream-key field.
- If you changed the relay region or protocol, or rotated the key, replace the entire published URL. The Enhanced IRL guide says those changes invalidate the old URL; editing only part of a saved URL may leave IRL Pro pointing to a stale destination.
- If the key may have been exposed or reset, use the new key. Do not keep retrying with the old one.
For a scheduled YouTube stream, a connected encoder may first appear as a preview. YouTube’s instructions say to wait for that preview and select Go live when required. Auto-start and auto-stop settings affect event start and end controls; they are separate from a transport disconnect between IRL Pro and the destination.
Choose RTMP or SRT for the connection you have
The Enhanced IRL guide for IRL Pro describes RTMP and SRT configurations using a single connection. It recommends SRT for a single mobile connection on the move because its guide says SRT handles packet loss better than RTMP. If you are on RTMP and drops occur as you walk, test SRT where your exact destination and relay support it. If SRT is already selected, reduce the bitrate and test again.

| Protocol or setup | When it may fit | Important qualification |
|---|---|---|
| RTMP | A connection that is stable enough for the selected bitrate and a relay/destination configured for RTMP. | The IRL Pro-specific guide also describes SRT as its alternative for a moving single connection with packet loss. |
| SRT | Worth testing when a single mobile connection loses packets while moving. | Support depends on the complete destination and relay path. The consulted IRL Pro material confirms RTMP and SRT, but does not confirm RTMPS support in every configuration. |
| SRTLA bonding | A verified setup intended to combine multiple network connections. | Do not assume IRL Pro’s Enhanced IRL configuration bonds connections: that guide describes it as single-connection and points to Moblin or BELABOX with SRTLA for a bonded setup. IRL Pro’s website lists SRTLA bonding as an app feature, so capability depends on the app build and relay configuration. |
YouTube recommends RTMPS for encrypted ingestion in its current help content, but only choose it if the app and the full service path you use support it. The consulted IRL Pro setup material does not establish RTMPS support for every configuration. Do not mistake YouTube’s recommendation for proof that a particular IRL Pro destination can accept RTMPS.
Lower bitrate until the uplink can hold it
Use upload capacity, not download speed, to judge whether your stream can be sustained. YouTube advises having enough outbound bandwidth for the selected bitrate, leaving headroom, and testing under conditions similar to the broadcast. A speed test taken while stationary on Wi-Fi does not establish that a mobile uplink will stay stable while walking.

Use YouTube’s figures as encoder guidance, not a mobile guarantee
YouTube’s reviewed H.264 encoder table lists recommended rates of 14 Mbps for 1080p30 and 8 Mbps for 720p30. It lists minimum rates of 5 Mbps and 3 Mbps for those respective settings. These are platform recommendations, not a promise that an Indian mobile or home broadband uplink can sustain them. A lower bitrate, resolution, or frame rate may be more reliable if your measured upload and realistic field test show less stable capacity.
Test progressively
- Reduce the video bitrate in IRL Pro or the relevant encoder configuration.
- If the stream still drops, reduce resolution or frame rate as well, then test again.
- Walk or reproduce the same movement and network conditions expected during the actual broadcast. YouTube advises testing with movement similar to the event.
- Change one setting at a time and note whether the failure changes. This makes it easier to tell whether the stream improved because of bitrate, resolution, frame rate, or a different protocol.
Enhanced IRL publishes bitrate caps for its own plans and a starting heuristic of half the plan cap followed by a test walk. Those caps apply to that service, not to YouTube or Indian broadband generally; use them only if you are using the relevant Enhanced IRL plan.

Find where the stream chain breaks
Check both the relay’s chain or status view, if you use one, and YouTube’s Live Control Room preview and health messages. This can help distinguish an encoder-to-relay issue from a relay-to-YouTube issue instead of treating every interruption as an ISP problem.
Use a second encoder as a diagnostic
Enhanced IRL’s troubleshooting guidance suggests a 30-second test from another phone app using the same URL. If that test arrives, focus first on IRL Pro’s configuration. If it does not, investigate the key or subscription as well as the destination path. This is a diagnostic specific to that provider’s workflow, not a universal test that identifies every network fault.

Collect details before contacting support
- Your plan or subscription status, if a relay service is involved.
- The exact IRL Pro and Android versions.
- The selected protocol and bitrate.
- The complete error text, rather than a paraphrase.
- Whether the failure happens while stationary, while moving, or both.
- Whether the same URL works from another encoder.
- Your connection type and location details, such as fiber, fixed wireless, Wi-Fi, or cellular, and the city or area.
These details can narrow the diagnosis. Without the provider, location, access type, handset, Android version, and timing of an incident, there is no basis here for assigning a disconnect to a particular Indian ISP or mobile carrier.

| What you see | Likely area to check | What to try |
|---|---|---|
| It stopped working after a key, region, or protocol change. | The saved URL or key may be stale. | Copy the complete current URL and key from the intended stream or relay configuration into the matching IRL Pro fields. |
| It drops mainly when you walk or move. | Packet loss or unstable mobile uplink is plausible. | Try SRT if supported by your exact path; if already on SRT, lower bitrate and test while moving. |
| It connects but YouTube does not show a live event. | The encoder may be connected while the scheduled event is still awaiting creator action. | Check the Live Control Room preview and select Go live if the scheduled stream requires it. |
| A second phone app also fails with the same URL. | The issue may be beyond IRL Pro, including credentials, subscription, relay, or destination configuration. | Recheck the current key and URL, subscription status, relay status, and YouTube health information. |
| The video is set to a high bitrate but the uplink is variable. | The stream may exceed stable outbound capacity. | Reduce bitrate first, then resolution or frame rate if needed; test under representative conditions. |
| You expect Wi-Fi and cellular to work together automatically. | The active setup may use just one connection. | Verify whether the app and relay are configured for SRTLA bonding; the cited Enhanced IRL IRL Pro guide describes a single connection. |
Or let it run in the cloud
StreamNeo is for uploaded recordings or playlists that play as a 24/7 YouTube stream; it does not send a live camera feed and is not a fix for an IRL Pro mobile broadcast disconnect. For an always-on channel built from recorded video, the steps are: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. StreamNeo loops the video in the cloud, so your computer and home connection do not have to stay on. Any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps streams as made at one flat price per slot; there are no quality tiers. It also automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream.
