First check what ended: the video playing in IRL Pro, IRL Pro’s outgoing feed, or the YouTube broadcast itself. If YouTube still shows the broadcast as live, the encoder must keep sending content; if YouTube has ended it, start a new broadcast in Live Control Room. The available IRL Pro documentation does not confirm a setting that automatically loops a finished local video or keeps the feed active afterward.
Identify what ended
Open YouTube Studio and check the broadcast status, then look at IRL Pro. The distinction matters: a media source ending does not necessarily mean the YouTube broadcast ended, while a broadcast that YouTube has ended cannot be assumed to resume just because IRL Pro reconnects.
- The local video or media source ended: Check whether IRL Pro is still sending an outgoing feed and whether YouTube still marks the broadcast live. IRL Pro’s behavior at the end of a local video is not established by the available documentation.
- IRL Pro stopped sending or shows no signal: The YouTube broadcast may remain open, but it is not receiving content. Check the encoder connection and stream URL.
- YouTube says the broadcast ended: Start a new broadcast in YouTube Live Control Room. Do not assume that restarting IRL Pro will reattach to the ended broadcast.
If the YouTube broadcast is still live
YouTube’s encoder instructions say to end a stream by stopping content from the encoder. For a scheduled stream, YouTube also instructs creators to click End Stream and stop the encoder. If you intend to remain live, do not click End Stream; keep the encoder sending valid content. See YouTube’s instructions for creating a live stream with an encoder.
That guidance explains the YouTube broadcast state, not how IRL Pro handles a finished media file. No confirmed IRL Pro menu path or setting for looping a local video or switching to a standby source is established here. Check current official IRL Pro support or app documentation before relying on such a feature.

If IRL Pro reconnects but YouTube shows no signal
A third-party IRL Pro setup guide says repeated reconnecting with No signal can result from an invalid publish URL. This can happen after changing the key’s region or protocol, or rotating the key. The guide’s remedy is to copy the current publish URL and replace the entire URL in the app. Because this is third-party guidance rather than official IRL Pro documentation, confirm the current app workflow if its labels differ.

If YouTube has already ended the broadcast
- Open YouTube Studio and go to Live Control Room.
- Create or start a new broadcast there, following YouTube’s current encoder workflow.
- Connect IRL Pro using the active stream key and publish URL for that broadcast.
- Confirm that YouTube receives the encoder feed before treating the new broadcast as live.
YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Archiving is not the same as keeping a stream live, and it does not establish that restarting an encoder resumes an ended broadcast. See YouTube Help.
What to verify about playing a video in IRL Pro
The located IRL Pro setup guide covers broadcasting with the app on Android, but it does not establish what happens when a local video or media source reaches its end. Verify device compatibility and ask IRL Pro support whether your version can loop that source or switch to a standby source. Until confirmed, do not rely on an assumed loop or keep-alive option.
