The Astra product identified here, Astra Streaming Studio, is an Android app for originating live video from a mobile device; its listing does not establish unattended, prerecorded 24/7 looping. These products address different jobs rather than offering equivalent ways to run a 24/7 prerecorded channel. Astra Streaming Studio’s listing includes “loop recording,” but that is not evidence that it can repeatedly broadcast prerecorded files to YouTube unattended.
What Astra Streaming Studio does
The identified Astra product is an Android app for streaming live content from a mobile device. Google Play also describes it as usable as an IP camera or video recorder. Its listed features include H.264/AAC encoding; SRT caller, listener, and rendezvous modes; RTMP and RTSP, including secure variants; MP4 saving and loop recording; multiple simultaneous connections; camera switching; screen capture; pictures and slideshows; video filters; and scenes that can be changed during a broadcast. Those are useful capabilities for mobile capture and live production. They do not answer whether Astra can keep a prerecorded YouTube broadcast running around the clock without an operator. The available product description does not establish that use case. This comparison is specifically about Astra Streaming Studio; a different Astra product would need to be identified before its capabilities could be compared.

What Gyre offers for prerecorded 24/7 streams
Gyre’s published workflow is aimed directly at prerecorded video: upload files to Gyre Storage, arrange them in a playlist, connect the YouTube channel, and launch a stream or schedule it. Gyre describes the stream as running from its cloud servers, so you do not need to leave a local computer running. Its official page summarizes the loop behavior with the vendor’s phrase, “Playlist ends, it restarts.” Gyre product page
Gyre also describes channel authorization and broadcast creation through the YouTube API. Its September 2026 article says the service can configure broadcast metadata and distinguishes plans by concurrent stream capacity. YouTube eligibility, copyright, and monetization still matter
Check channel access before setting up a service
YouTube’s live-streaming requirements and account restrictions apply whether you broadcast directly or use a third-party service. YouTube says a channel restricted from live streaming is prohibited from using another channel to stream on YouTube. Use material you have the right to stream
A playlist that loops successfully is not automatically safe to broadcast or monetize. Make sure you have the necessary rights to every video, soundtrack, image, and other included material, and review YouTube’s current copyright and monetization policies for your channel. A continuous stream does not itself establish permission or eligibility.

Verify monetization in YouTube Studio
Do not assume that a live stream created through a third-party service is monetized automatically. Gyre’s guidance says monetization for streams created by third-party tools depends on a YouTube Studio setting. Check the current controls in your channel’s YouTube Studio rather than relying on a vendor workflow to enable monetization for you. Gyre’s article on YouTube API automation

- Choose Gyre if you want its documented cloud workflow for uploading prerecorded files, building looping playlists, scheduling streams, or managing multiple simultaneous streams. Check the plan’s current resolution, storage, stream limit, and billing interval against your requirements.
