Separately, Josh and Heather Altman announced they would leave Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles after Season 15. Those are two distinct developments: the Altman announcement did not establish a cause for the show’s later production pause.
Why Tracy Tutor moved to Compass
Tutor had been with Douglas Elliman since 2014, according to Inman’s January 7, 2025 report. She described the move as a decision about her business’s direction: “My brand has always been rooted in innovation and growth, and joining Compass aligns with my vision for the future of my business.”
Inman reported that Tutor hoped to expand into additional markets while solidifying her presence in California and Texas. The report described her group as an 18-person team and said it had more than $4.5 billion in career sales and nearly $550 million in listings at the time of the announcement. Those are figures reported in 2025, not verified current totals.
Compass CEO and founder Robert Reffkin framed the hire as evidence of the company’s ability to attract talent. A Douglas Elliman representative told Inman the firm was “proud of the agent Tracy became under the Elliman banner and [we] wish her the best in her next venture.” The statements record how the companies and Tutor characterized the transition; they do not establish that one brokerage was objectively better for her business.

The Altmans announced their departure
Season 15 wrapped in September 2024, according to Bravo’s later retrospective. On October 31, 2024, TMZ reported that Josh and Heather Altman had announced they would leave the show after that season. TMZ said they wanted to spend more time with their children without cameras around all the time; that explanation is attributed to entertainment reporting, not an official Bravo statement. TMZ’s Million Dollar Listing coverage is the source for the departure report.

TMZ later described production as paused, not officially canceled
On March 13, 2025, TMZ reported that production was on pause after 15 seasons. The outlet said the series had not been officially canceled as of its report. That is a reported status at that point, not confirmation of a renewal or a permanent end. The available reporting does not connect the Altmans’ exit to the pause.
Tutor’s next television chapter
In August 2026, Bravo reported that Tutor had joined Season 16 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Bravo also noted that her run on Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles extended through Season 15. Her move to Compass and her later Bravo casting are separate career developments, rather than evidence that one caused the other. Bravo’s Season 16 announcement provides the network’s account.
