To play recorded Kannada podcast episodes continuously on YouTube Live, send them from a computer-based or hardware encoder to a YouTube stream. Create the stream in YouTube Studio, add its stream URL and key to your encoder, arrange the episodes in the encoder’s playlist or media source, and check the preview before starting. The loop controls depend on the encoder you choose; YouTube’s encoder setup does not provide one universal playlist-loop feature.
For a dependable archive, plan to rotate broadcasts before they reach 12 hours and save a separate local recording. YouTube says streams longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all.
Before you set up the stream
Check that your channel can go live
YouTube requires a verified channel with no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days. If this is the first time the channel is being enabled for live streaming, activation may take up to 24 hours, so do not leave setup until broadcast time. See YouTube’s live-streaming setup guidance.
Clear rights to every episode and sound
Make sure you have the rights needed to livestream the podcast archive on Google services, including music licensing rights where applicable. Owning an audio file or having permission to distribute a podcast does not by itself establish that you can livestream it. Check rights for music, guest recordings, clips, and any other included material.

YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. A match may temporarily interrupt or terminate a stream if the content remains; even licensed material may require the rights owner to add your channel to a Content ID allowlist. A claim can also be made against the archived stream after the live broadcast ends. Review YouTube’s copyright guidance for live streams.
Set up a continuous episode loop
- Choose the encoder. Use software on a computer or a standalone hardware encoder that can play a playlist or media source repeatedly and send its output to YouTube. YouTube supports encoder-based streaming but does not prescribe a universal playlist or repeat control; check the chosen encoder’s current controls and restart behavior.
- Prepare the archive playlist. Put episodes in the order listeners should hear them. Add the files to the encoder’s playback source and enable repeat or looping there. Test that playback advances from one episode to the next and returns to the start of the list. This behavior is controlled by the encoder, not by a universal YouTube playlist setting.
- Create a stream in YouTube Studio. Open Create → Go Live and create a stream in Live Control Room. Copy the stream URL and stream key shown there into the matching encoder fields. YouTube describes the key as the information that lets the encoder send a feed for YouTube to accept. Keep it private; if it is exposed, reset it in the stream settings. - Start the encoder and inspect the preview. Begin sending the playlist from the encoder. In Live Control Room, confirm that video and audio appear correctly, then start the live event using the selected workflow. Encoder streams create a watch page and may appear in subscriber feeds.
- Check the live destination. Confirm the event can be opened on its watch page and channel page, including on a phone. Listen for clean audio and verify that the episode playback is advancing. YouTube recommends testing the setup and previewing before going live.
- Keep a local recording. Record the outgoing program to a local drive, and confirm the recording file is growing while the stream runs. YouTube recommends a local archive as a backup; do not treat the YouTube archive as the only copy.
Plan the broadcast around YouTube’s archive limit
YouTube says it can automatically archive a live stream that is less than 12 hours, but a stream exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. If each session needs a YouTube replay, schedule deliberate stops and new sessions before the 12-hour mark rather than treating one 24/7 broadcast as a guaranteed archive.

The exact handoff depends on the encoder and how you operate it. Decide in advance who will end the current session and start the next one, and how the loop will resume without skipping or repeating an unwanted section. Keep the local recording for each session as an independent backup. See YouTube’s live-stream archive guidance.
Keep the stream stable while it runs
Allow upload bandwidth headroom
YouTube recommends available upload bandwidth at least 20% above the total outgoing bitrate. This is headroom for the stream, not an uptime guarantee. If other activity shares the connection, account for it when checking available capacity. See YouTube’s streaming tips.

Use a simple monitoring runbook
- Watch Live Control Room for stream status and confirm the event remains accessible.
- Check at intervals that the playlist has advanced and that the audio is still audible and clean.
- Confirm the local archive file is still growing.
- If the encoder, playback software, or connection fails, restore playback and verify the preview before treating the broadcast as healthy again.
These checks help an operator catch problems; they cannot guarantee an uninterrupted broadcast. Network, encoder, and platform interruptions remain possible.

YouTube recognizes both software applications and standalone hardware as encoder options and does not endorse one type for this particular use. Choose according to who will maintain the broadcast and what the encoder can reliably do with your episode loop.
