Yes—one JioFiber connection can carry two simultaneous YouTube playlist livestreams if your streaming setup can send both outputs and the connection has enough sustained upload capacity. Add the two streams’ target bitrates, then aim for measured upload speed about 1.5 to 2 times that combined total, following YouTube’s guidance. A plan’s advertised speed is not a substitute for testing upload performance where and when you will stream.
What you need to run both streams
- Two YouTube live events: Create or schedule an event for each playlist in YouTube Live Control Room.
- A way to send each playlist to its intended event: Each outgoing stream needs the event’s stream URL and key. Confirm that your chosen software can play or loop both playlists and route them separately; the official guidance cited here does not prescribe a particular playlist application.
- Enough upload bandwidth: The two outgoing bitrates share your connection. Measure upload speed at the streaming location under realistic household conditions.
- Sufficient encoding capacity: Your chosen software or hardware must be able to produce both outputs reliably. YouTube’s documentation does not guarantee that one computer can encode two simultaneous streams; test your specific setup.
If this is your first YouTube livestream, enable live streaming in advance. YouTube says first-time enablement can take up to 24 hours. See YouTube’s encoder setup guidance.
Calculate the upload speed target
Add the target bitrate for stream one to the target bitrate for stream two. YouTube’s simulstream guidance recommends measured upload capacity of 1.5 to 2 times the combined target, leaving headroom for shared network use and variation. This is a planning recommendation, not a guarantee of stable performance.

The per-stream figures are YouTube’s recommended H.264 bitrates for 1080p30 and 720p30. Other codecs, resolutions, frame rates, and content may call for different settings; consult YouTube’s encoder settings and bitrate recommendations. YouTube’s own example likewise adds a 6 Mbps stream and a 4 Mbps stream to get a 10 Mbps combined target, then applies the 1.5–2× guidance.

Set up and test the two playlist streams
- Create or schedule two events. In YouTube Live Control Room, set up one live event for each playlist. Keep the event names and intended playlists clear so you can distinguish the destinations.
- Copy the matching stream details. For each event, use its stream URL and key in the software that will send that playlist. Check the mapping carefully: playlist one must go to event one, and playlist two to event two. YouTube explains stream keys and stream settings at its stream-settings help page.
- Choose settings for each output. Select a supported resolution, frame rate, codec, and bitrate for each stream. Use YouTube’s encoder recommendations as a starting point, then ensure the combined bitrate fits the measured upload capacity with headroom.
- Measure upload where the streams will run. Test at the actual location, preferably while typical devices and services are using the connection. Upload speed is the relevant direction; a high download result does not establish adequate outbound capacity. YouTube notes that available upload bandwidth can be shared and that upload may be lower than download in its streaming tips.
- Run both streams privately or as an unlisted test. Verify that each event receives the correct playlist and stream key. Check audio, motion, playlist transitions, and the stream-health indicators in Live Control Room before relying on the setup publicly.
- Adjust and repeat if either stream is unstable. Reduce resolution or bitrate on one or both outputs, or reduce competing network use, then retest both streams together. YouTube recommends testing before an event and monitoring stream health.
What JioFiber speeds tell you—and what they do not
Jio’s plan comparison lists examples of symmetrical upload and download speeds of 30, 100, and 150 Mbps. These are advertised plan examples, not measurements of the sustained upload available in a particular home at a particular time. Check current plan details and availability for your address at Jio’s Fiber plans page, then make the practical decision from a local upload test and YouTube’s stream-health feedback.
Do not apply Jio’s AirFiber usage-dependent speed information to every wired JioFiber connection. The cited AirFiber FAQ concerns AirFiber; it does not establish performance limits for all wired plans. Your household’s actual upload capacity and stability are what matter for these two streams.

If the combined load is too high
- Lower both outputs’ settings: Two H.264 720p30 streams at YouTube’s recommended 3 Mbps each total 6 Mbps, compared with 10 Mbps for two 1080p30 streams at 5 Mbps each. Confirm that the lower resolution is acceptable for your playlist content.
- Reduce competing use during the stream: Other devices and services may consume shared upload capacity. Retest with typical household activity rather than relying only on an otherwise idle connection.
- Check the encoding workload: If the network test has headroom but streams still falter, the software or hardware may not be handling both outputs. Verify its current documentation and test the exact two-output configuration.
- Consider a connection change only from evidence: Compare sustained upload speed, stability during household use, and service availability at your address. An advertised plan tier alone does not show that an upgrade is necessary.
Troubleshooting
