Full answers for November 26, 2025
The Wednesday, November 26 puzzle was game #899. Its 16 tiles were JAN, SEC, IRA, MAR, APR, KAT, GOD, MAY, FLOW, DEB, CAN, TAB, COULD, CFO, SUE, and MIGHT. Three published answer guides report the following groups; the reverse spellings in purple explain the final category.

Why the board can be misleading
Several tiles resemble abbreviated month names, including JAN, MAR, APR, and MAY. That surface pattern does not make them one group: JAN belongs with women’s nicknames, while MAR and APR are in separate categories; MAY is a possibility verb. Connections boards use overlapping associations to make a plausible-looking grouping less reliable than the complete four-word pattern.

Connections presents 16 items to sort into four groups of four. The challenge is to find each shared relationship while avoiding misleading overlaps; players have a limited number of incorrect guesses. Access details can change, so consult the NYT Games site for current play and archive terms.
