How to Loop a YouTube Playlist in Livepush Without Re-Uploading Videos

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Short answer: Livepush documents looping video sources that you add to its pre-recorded live dashboard, then broadcasting that playlist to a YouTube Live event. Its published instructions describe adding video files or importing from Google Drive, Dropbox, or a downloadable web link; they do not establish that you can paste in a YouTube playlist URL and have Livepush use those videos directly. So you can avoid keeping a computer running, but the documented workflow does not promise that you can avoid adding the source media to Livepush.

First decide what “loop a YouTube playlist” means

There are two different tasks that sound similar:

Goal Method What happens Limit
Repeat a playlist while someone watches YouTube Use YouTube’s playlist Loop control. YouTube repeats playback for the viewer. This does not create a live broadcast.
Broadcast a pre-recorded playlist as a continuous YouTube Live stream Add source videos to Livepush, connect YouTube as the destination, and enable Loop Video. Livepush sends the playlist to a YouTube Live event and repeats it until you stop the event. Livepush’s reviewed documentation does not establish direct ingestion from a YouTube playlist URL.

If you only want a viewer to hear a documentary playlist again, use YouTube’s viewer-side feature. YouTube Help’s instructions are to open a video in the playlist, expand the playlist, and select “Loop.” That repeats playlist playback; it is not a live event. See YouTube Help: Loop videos or playlists on YouTube.

What Livepush documents—and what it does not

Livepush’s documented workflow uses source media added to its pre-recorded live dashboard. The video-add guide describes selecting files and importing from Google Drive, Dropbox, or a web URL that provides a downloadable link. It does not say that a YouTube watch URL or playlist URL is accepted as source media, nor that authorizing YouTube as a destination imports videos from your channel. The difference matters: a YouTube connection is used to send the resulting broadcast to YouTube, not evidence that Livepush can fetch your existing playlist. See the Livepush guide to adding a video and its YouTube connection guide.

Livepush’s multi-video article says: “Multi-video playlist streaming lets you queue several uploaded videos into one continuous live stream.” It also says the videos are re-encoded to common parameters to help avoid glitches, freezes, or drops at transitions. This makes a continuous playlist possible, but it still describes uploaded videos—not a direct import from a YouTube playlist. Read Livepush’s multi-video playlist guide.

Set up a looping Livepush broadcast

  1. Open the pre-recorded live dashboard. Create a new pre-recorded live setup or open one you already use.
  2. Add the source videos. Select the files or use one of the documented import routes: Google Drive, Dropbox, or a web URL with a downloadable link. A YouTube playlist URL is not established as a supported source by the guide. Only add media you have the rights to use and that is compatible with the chosen import route.
  3. Arrange the playlist. For multiple videos, put them in the order you want them played. Livepush describes multi-video playback as running the uploaded videos back to back as one continuous broadcast; it says it normalizes encoding parameters to help smooth transitions.
  4. Set YouTube as the destination. Follow Livepush’s YouTube connection workflow to authorize or configure the YouTube account, choose or create a YouTube Live event, set its title and privacy, and save the destination. Check the event details in YouTube before going live.
  5. Enable looping. In the pre-recorded live dashboard, turn on Loop Video. Livepush’s guide, “How to Live stream 24×7 with Video Looping,” says the playlist keeps looping until you manually stop it. See the Livepush looping guide.
  6. Start or schedule the event. Start the broadcast when ready, or use Schedule For Later if that option is part of your setup. Confirm the event is live on YouTube and that the expected video is playing.

Livepush’s guides describe the looping workflow and the 24/7 schedule channel, but plan names and feature availability can change. Check the current Livepush plan page and your account before relying on continuous multi-video looping.

Copyright and source-media checks

  • Having a video in your YouTube channel or playlist does not by itself establish that you may rebroadcast it. Make sure you hold the necessary rights or permissions for every video and audio track.
  • Using a downloadable link as an import method does not establish permission to copy or rebroadcast its contents. The source-media guide does not specify whether a YouTube watch or playlist URL qualifies.
  • YouTube’s rules and copyright systems apply to live broadcasts as well as other uploads. A live event may be interrupted or restricted if its content violates applicable rights or policies; check YouTube’s current guidance and your account’s live-stream status before scheduling.
  • Do not use third-party downloaders or assume that copying videos from YouTube is permitted. If you need to rebroadcast your own material, use an original source file or a documented import route for which you have authorization.

Common problems and fixes

  • Livepush will not accept a YouTube playlist URL: the documented import guide does not confirm direct YouTube playlist ingestion. Use source files or a supported downloadable link, or ask Livepush support to confirm whether the current product offers another route.
  • The playlist plays once instead of repeating: check that Loop Video is enabled in the pre-recorded live dashboard and that you started the looping setup rather than only playing a YouTube playlist as a viewer.
  • The broadcast is not visible as a YouTube Live event: verify that YouTube is configured as the destination, the intended event was selected or created, and its privacy setting is what you expect. Then check the event in YouTube rather than relying only on the dashboard status.
  • A transition freezes or drops: Livepush says it re-encodes multi-video playlists to common parameters to help reduce transition problems. If an issue persists, check the source files and report the affected transition to Livepush support.
  • The continuous-loop option is unavailable: verify current plan eligibility. Livepush’s loop guide ties the feature to plans that include the 24/7 schedule channel; do not rely on an older plan name or price without checking the current plan page.
  • YouTube blocks or interrupts the live stream: review the event’s status and YouTube’s notices, then check that the content is authorized for rebroadcast and complies with YouTube’s current policies.

Or let it run in the cloud

If the main goal is keeping a pre-recorded YouTube stream live without leaving a computer on, StreamNeo is a cloud alternative: upload your video or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. StreamNeo loops uploaded videos to YouTube; it does not go live from a camera.
