For recurring YouTube Premium or YouTube Music payments in India, eligibility depends on the card’s issuing bank, network, and credit-or-debit type—not just whether it has a Visa or Mastercard logo. Google’s current support list names specific combinations, but it does not guarantee that every individual card will work. Check your exact card against the list below, then complete YouTube’s payment verification and confirm recurring e-mandate support with your bank.
Indian cards Google currently lists for recurring YouTube payments
The combinations below are listed on Google’s help page for automatic recurring payments in India, accessed on October 3, 2026. The page does not show a revision date, and Google says bank support may change, so treat this as a check to make—not a permanent guarantee.

“Not listed” means that combination does not appear in Google’s displayed list; it is not proof that every card of that type will be declined in every payment flow. The list is specifically a guide to recurring automatic payments, not a universal matrix for every one-time checkout or billing route.
Why a card may still fail even when it appears on the list
Recurring payments require an e-mandate
Google describes an e-mandate as permission for automatic recurring charges. Setting one up involves an OTP verification flow. Google says Indian automatic payments are limited to ₹15,000 per transaction without additional approval, describing these requirements as arising from RBI rules. A card that can make ordinary online purchases may still lack the recurring e-mandate support needed for a subscription.
#1 Best Overall
- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
The bank and the exact card matter
Google’s list identifies issuing bank, network, and card type, but the issuer may not enable recurring payments on every individually issued card. Online purchase enablement or international-use enablement is not the same as recurring e-mandate support. Ask the bank specifically whether your card supports online recurring e-mandates for the YouTube subscription.
Recurring and prepaid signups are different
Google says a new YouTube Premium or Music signup may offer a prepaid plan if the card does not support automatic payments. A prepaid option avoids recurring billing, but availability depends on the choices YouTube shows for your account.

What about RuPay, American Express, Discover, or Diners Club?
Google’s card-storage guidance says Visa and Mastercard can be saved in an RBI-compliant format after a manual payment. It says RuPay, American Express, Discover, and Diners cards cannot be saved in that format. The same guidance explicitly mentions RuPay support for Google Cloud, Workspace, and Ads, but does not name YouTube among those services; it describes American Express, Discover, and Diners as unsupported on most listed Google services, including YouTube.
This concerns Google’s stated card-storage and payment scope. It should not be read as a guarantee about every one-time payment attempt or every account-specific checkout. For a recurring YouTube membership, follow the payment method YouTube actually offers and verify any card with the issuer.

How to check or recover a recurring membership payment
- Open the membership payment prompt. In the YouTube app or at youtube.com, follow the prompt to verify or re-enter payment details. YouTube says members in India may need to do this to maintain recurring memberships under e-mandate requirements.
- Match the exact card combination. Check the issuing bank, Visa or Mastercard network, and credit or debit type against the table above. Do not infer recurring eligibility from the network logo alone.
- Ask the issuer about the mandate. Confirm that this specific card supports online recurring e-mandates for the subscription and ask whether any verification or bank-side setting remains incomplete.
- Complete the verification flow. If YouTube requests verification, follow its on-screen steps, including OTP confirmation where prompted. Google says card details may need to be entered again.
- Check prepaid choices if recurring billing is unavailable. For a new signup, see whether YouTube presents a prepaid plan for your account.
StreamNeo is a separate YouTube live-stream service
StreamNeo is a cloud service for keeping an uploaded video or playlist live on a YouTube channel; it is not a YouTube Premium or YouTube Music payment method. In India, StreamNeo accepts UPI and cards, but the available facts do not specify card-network eligibility. Its payment acceptance should not be inferred from Google’s recurring-card list.
With StreamNeo, you upload a recording, add your YouTube stream key, and go live; the cloud loops the video without a computer staying on at home. Every slot supports uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, includes 10 GB storage per slot pooled across active slots, playlists, and automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly billing is $9.99 per month. Learn more at StreamNeo, or start a free day.
