Schedule the event in YouTube Studio, then start its audio or video source separately when it is time to go live. In YouTube Studio, open Create > Go live, choose Manage, and select Schedule stream. Set the event’s title, visibility, date, and start time, then share its watch page so viewers can find it and opt into reminders.
There is no universally best overnight hour for Hindi-speaking viewers: Hindi-speaking audiences may live across time zones. Use your channel’s audience data to choose a start time, and state the time zone clearly in the event details and promotions.
Before scheduling: check channel eligibility and choose the format
Confirm you can livestream
YouTube says a channel must be verified and must not have had live-streaming restrictions in the past 90 days. Streamers must be at least 16. Mobile livestreaming has additional requirements; YouTube lists mobile, webcam, and encoder as available streaming methods. Check the current requirements in YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility guide.
Choose a scheduled event or a continuous stream

Schedule the YouTube event
- Open Live Control Room: In YouTube Studio, select Create > Go live, then open Manage.
- Start a scheduled stream: Select Schedule stream. You can create a new event or reuse a previous stream’s settings. If reusing settings, check the inherited title, description, visibility, and stream key before saving.
- Set the event details: Enter an accurate title and description, choose the visibility, and set the date and start time. Include the time zone explicitly in the description and wherever you promote the event, for example, “9:00 p.m. IST (UTC+5:30).”
- Save and share the watch page: YouTube says scheduling lets you promote the stream. Share the event page early; viewers may see it as upcoming and can opt into a notification.
See YouTube’s guide to creating a live stream with an encoder for the scheduling workflow. The scheduled event creates the listing, not the live audio or video: you still need to start the selected stream source at showtime.
Pick an overnight time for your actual audience
“Overnight” depends on where viewers are. Hindi alone does not identify a country or time zone, so avoid choosing a time on the assumption that every Hindi-speaking viewer follows the same local clock. Check your channel’s audience geography and activity data, then choose a start time that suits the people you want to reach.

- Write the time zone next to the start time in the description, community posts, and other promotions.
- Use a direct title that accurately identifies the session as Hindi sleep meditation. Do not imply a live guided session if the event is prerecorded audio or video.
- Tags have minimal discovery impact, according to YouTube, except when they help with commonly misspelled terms. More important, make the title and description clear and accurate. See YouTube’s live-stream settings guide.
Prepare and start the stream source
If you use an encoder
- Open the scheduled event in Live Control Room and retrieve its YouTube server URL and stream key.
- Enter those details in your encoder’s streaming settings. Treat the stream key like a password: do not share it publicly, show it on screen, or include it in a recording.
- Prepare the meditation audio or video and check the encoder preview and sound before starting. Confirm that the scheduled event and encoder are using the intended stream key.
- At the scheduled time, open the event under Manage, confirm the preview is correct, and start the stream from the encoder. Scheduling the event alone does not start the encoder.

If you use another YouTube streaming method
YouTube lists mobile and webcam streaming as alternatives to an encoder. The precise controls differ by method, so follow the prompts in Live Control Room and make sure you open and start the scheduled event—not a separate, unscheduled stream.

Clear audio rights before the overnight broadcast
Use original narration and music, or obtain the permissions needed for every recording in the stream. YouTube scans live streams for third-party content matches. A match can cause YouTube to replace the stream with a placeholder, interrupt it, or terminate it. Even licensed material can be interrupted if the rights owner has not allowlisted your channel. Review YouTube’s guidance on copyright issues with live streams and its livestream terms and conditions; the terms place responsibility for necessary rights, including music licensing, on the content provider.
For a playlist, check each track, recording, and video rather than assuming that permission for one item covers the rest. A scheduled start does not change the rights requirements.

Decide whether monetization fits sleep content
Eligible monetized livestreams may offer ads, Super Chat or Super Stickers, and memberships where available. YouTube says ad slots are not guaranteed. For sleep meditation, consider whether an ad interruption is compatible with the experience you promise; monetization settings do not guarantee uninterrupted playback. Troubleshoot common scheduling and launch problems
- The event is listed, but nothing is live: Scheduling creates an upcoming event, not a running source. Open it in Manage, start the encoder or other selected method, and check that the preview appears.
- The encoder does not connect to the event: Check that its server URL and stream key match the scheduled stream. If you reused an earlier setup, verify the key and event rather than assuming old settings still apply.
- Viewers are confused about when to join: Add the time zone next to the time in the description and every promotion. Do not rely on “overnight” to communicate a clock time to an international audience.
- The stream is interrupted or replaced: A third-party content match may be responsible. Check the rights for the audio and video being broadcast and YouTube’s copyright notices; a license alone may not prevent interruption if the channel has not been allowlisted by the rights owner.
- Viewers cannot find the event in advance: Share the scheduled watch page directly. YouTube says an upcoming scheduled stream may appear in subscriber feeds, and viewers can opt into a notification.
