To run a 24/7 Tamil-language birds-and-forest-sounds channel on YouTube, prepare a rights-cleared audio-and-visual feed, send it through a live encoder, and keep the encoder and its internet connection running while you monitor the broadcast. First check that your channel is eligible to livestream. A 24/7 schedule is your intended broadcast pattern—not a guarantee that the stream will never disconnect.
1. Confirm your channel can livestream
YouTube says a channel must be verified and have had no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days to livestream. Streamers must be at least 16. Check YouTube’s current eligibility guidance and your channel status before building the feed: Get started with live streaming.
2. Choose audio and visuals you have permission to use
Decide whether to use recordings you made yourself or audio and visuals whose licenses permit your planned YouTube use. Do not assume that a recording or video found online is free to rebroadcast. Confirm the rights for each asset, including any restrictions on commercial use, edits, attribution, or territory. If recording outdoors, check the rules for the specific site and local jurisdiction; permissions vary, and a general guide cannot establish what is allowed at a particular location.
For original ambience, you can record birds and forest sounds with suitable audio-capture equipment, then combine those recordings with your visuals in an encoder. A microphone or preamp is an optional part of a recording workflow, not a requirement for a creator who already has rights-cleared audio files. YouTube’s encoder guide describes possible hardware setups but does not endorse a particular recorder or microphone.

3. Build the continuous feed
YouTube’s encoder workflow lets you send a designed audiovisual feed, including overlays, to a live broadcast. Assemble the audio and visuals in an encoder, choose a stream title and description in YouTube Studio, and connect the encoder using the stream details YouTube provides. Keep those details private: anyone with access to a stream key may be able to send a feed to your broadcast.
Use Tamil where it serves your audience—for example, in the title, description, captions, or on-screen welcome message. These are editorial choices, not special technical requirements. Plan how you will monitor and moderate chat if you enable it.

4. Set the encoder for a stable broadcast
Choose resolution, frame rate, and bitrate for the visual design and the upload connection that will actually carry the stream. YouTube recommends testing your upload bitrate with representative audio and motion, then monitoring stream health. Its current encoder guidance lists RTMP/RTMPS, H.264, H.265/HEVC, or AV1 video, up to 60 fps, AAC or MP3 audio, and constant bitrate (CBR). It recommends a two-second keyframe interval and says not to exceed four seconds. Check YouTube’s live encoder settings before configuring your software, since published recommendations can change: Choose live encoder settings, bitrates, and resolutions.
| Example YouTube H.264 setting | Published video bitrate | Use it as |
|---|---|---|
| 240p–720p at 30 fps | 4 Mbps | A published recommendation range for those resolutions and frame rate, not a mandatory setting for every feed. |
| 1080p at 30 fps | 10 Mbps | A published recommendation for this resolution and frame rate, not a guarantee that your connection can sustain it. |
Before going live, run an upload speed test and leave headroom for normal variation; a speed-test result is not proof that the connection will remain stable for hours. Test with the actual combination of audio, motion, resolution, frame rate, and encoder settings you plan to use. Watch the encoder and YouTube’s stream-health indicators for dropped frames, connection warnings, or audio problems.

5. Start, test, and monitor the stream
- Verify eligibility: confirm the channel is verified and has no recent live-streaming restriction.
- Prepare the feed: assemble your visuals and audio in the encoder and check the rights for every asset.
- Configure YouTube and the encoder: create or select the broadcast in YouTube Studio, copy its stream details into the encoder, and choose tested settings.
- Run a representative test: check audio level and continuity, image and motion, stream health, and how the broadcast appears on the devices you care about.
- Go live and keep watch: monitor the encoder, connection, and YouTube status during the intended broadcast. Have a way to respond if the feed or connection stops.
Google’s Live Streaming API documentation describes a 24/7 live-feed scenario and an additional broadcast associated with the same stream. That documents a technical pattern; it does not promise uninterrupted availability for a particular channel, computer, power supply, or internet connection. The API documentation is aimed at integrations, so an ordinary creator does not need to use the API just to follow the encoder workflow described above: YouTube Live Streaming API: Understanding Broadcasts and Streams.
6. Decide whether to add a vertical presentation
A standard horizontal nature feed is a straightforward starting point. YouTube also documents supported horizontal and vertical presentation options. If you want a vertical version, plan its layout before starting: YouTube’s current guidance says vertical format cannot be added after a stream has begun. Treat this as an optional audience-format decision, not a requirement for a 24/7 ambience channel. See YouTube’s live-streaming guidance for current availability and setup details.

Or let it run in the cloud
If you do not want a computer and home connection to stay on, StreamNeo is a cloud service for keeping an uploaded-video YouTube stream live. Upload your recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. It loops uploaded videos from the cloud; it does not broadcast a camera feed. Your computer can be off, and StreamNeo automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The uploaded video streams as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one flat price per slot without re-encoding or quality tiers. The first day is free with no card. Monthly pricing is $9.99 per month. For a Tamil-language channel in India, UPI works; cards are available in India and worldwide. Start your free day with StreamNeo.

Troubleshooting common problems
- You cannot start a livestream: verify the channel, check for a live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days, and confirm the streamer meets YouTube’s age requirement.
- YouTube reports poor stream health or the feed drops: test the sustained upload connection again, reduce the bitrate or resolution if the connection cannot support the chosen settings, and check the encoder’s connection and dropped-frame indicators.
- Audio is missing, distorted, or interrupted: test the complete feed before going live, verify the encoder’s audio source and AAC or MP3 output, and listen for continuity at the receiving end.
- The video stutters or looks poor: check that the encoder’s resolution, frame rate, codec, bitrate, and keyframe interval match YouTube’s current guidance and your connection’s sustained capacity.
- You cannot use a sound or visual in the broadcast: stop using the asset until you have confirmed that its rights cover your intended use. Online availability alone does not establish permission.
