You can stream prerecorded Quran recitations on YouTube Live around the clock by sending them through an encoder: create a stream in YouTube Studio, connect the encoder with the stream URL and key, check the preview, and start the broadcast. First confirm the channel is eligible and that you have the rights to rebroadcast every recording. For a continuous stream, also plan how you will handle encoder restarts and saved archives; YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived, but does not promise the same for sessions lasting 24 hours or longer.
Can I livestream prerecorded Quran recitations on YouTube 24/7?
Yes. YouTube supports encoder-based live streams, and its encoder guidance lists a cloud service for continuous streaming of prerecorded videos. There is no separate Quran-specific setup rule in the cited YouTube guidance: the standard livestream eligibility, technical setup, copyright and monetization policies apply. A recording’s religious content or title does not itself establish permission to rebroadcast it.
YouTube supports software encoders running on a computer and standalone hardware encoders. You can also use a cloud service that sends prerecorded video without depending on a computer at home. The choice affects who operates the streaming equipment and manages restarts; YouTube’s guidance does not establish that one approach is more reliable or less expensive than another.
Before you start: eligibility and recording rights
Check the channel’s livestream eligibility
YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility guidance says the channel must be verified and must not have had a live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days. It also states that the minimum age to livestream is 16. Check the current requirements in YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility guidance before setting up the event.

- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Confirm rights for every recording
Use audio and video only when you have the rights needed for the intended YouTube broadcast. YouTube’s livestream terms require the provider to have the necessary rights to use the live content on Google services worldwide, including applicable music licensing rights. Read YouTube’s livestream terms and check the license or permission for each recitation recording, including any accompanying visuals.
YouTube scans live streams for third-party matches. If it detects content, it may replace the live image and warn you; if the issue continues, it may interrupt or terminate the stream. A rights holder who has licensed content to you may need to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist to prevent interruptions. YouTube explains this process in its live-streaming copyright guidance.

Choose how to keep the stream running
| Approach | Where the encoder runs | Who maintains operation | What to plan for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Software encoder | On your computer | You manage the computer, software and connection | Power, internet interruptions, encoder restarts and archive handling |
| Standalone hardware encoder | On dedicated encoding equipment | You manage the equipment and its connection | Equipment setup, power, network access and restart/archive workflow |
| Cloud service | On the provider’s infrastructure | The service operates the cloud streaming system; you configure the stream and content | Check current service features and terms, and plan the YouTube event and archive workflow |
YouTube’s encoder setup guide describes software and standalone hardware encoders and lists Gyre as a cloud-based option for 24/7 streaming of prerecorded videos. That listing is not a comparative reliability test or endorsement. No particular hardware model is required by the guidance.
Set up the YouTube Live stream
- Open Live Control Room. In YouTube Studio, select Create → Go Live. Start a new stream from the Stream tab, or use Manage to schedule a stream. Scheduling provides a watch-page URL you can share in advance.
- Copy the server URL and stream key. Find the connection details in Live Control Room and enter them in the encoder’s streaming settings. The stream key is sensitive: treat it like a password, do not publish it, and reset it if it is compromised.
- Configure the encoder for your prerecorded material. Select the video or playlist you intend to broadcast and configure the encoder to send it to YouTube using the server URL and key. Exact controls vary by encoder. YouTube’s cited setup guidance does not prescribe a specific bitrate, resolution, frame rate or keyframe interval for this Quran-recitation use case; follow the current recommendations and settings shown for your encoder and YouTube event rather than assuming a universal value.
- Check the incoming preview. Start the encoder output and wait for the feed to appear in Live Control Room. Confirm that the intended picture and sound are present and that the event is the one you mean to use.
- Start the event and monitor it. Once the preview is correct, start the stream in Live Control Room if the event requires that action. Monitor both audio and video, and test the encoder’s failover or restart behavior before relying on the setup for continuous playback. YouTube’s operational advice is in its live-streaming tips.
Plan restarts and archives for a continuous broadcast
YouTube’s encoder guidance says streams shorter than 12 hours are automatically archived. It does not promise the same archive behavior for an uninterrupted session lasting 24 hours or longer. Do not assume that one day-long broadcast will produce a complete saved video. Decide in advance whether your setup will use shorter stream sessions, keep separate source recordings, or otherwise meet your archive needs, and test the workflow before relying on it.

- Flawless 4K@60Hz Video with HDMI: Delivers exceptional clarity and smoothness with its 4K@60Hz HDMI port, making it ideal for high-definition presentations and entertainment. (Note: Only the HDMI port supports video projection; the USB-C port is for data transfer only.)
- Double Up on Efficiency: The two USB-A 3.0 ports and a USB-C port support a fast 5Gbps data rate, significantly boosting your transfer speeds and improving productivity.
- Fast and Reliable 85W Charging: Offers high-capacity, speedy charging for laptops up to 85W, so you spend less time tethered to an outlet and more time being productive.
- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (7-in-1), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
Continuous playback also depends on recovery when a computer, encoder, connection or stream event stops. With a locally run encoder, you are responsible for restoring the feed and checking the event. YouTube recommends testing failover and monitoring the stream; the available guidance does not give a guaranteed recovery time.
Protect monetization eligibility
Do not assume that a 24/7 stream will qualify for monetization. YouTube’s monetization policy applies to live streams and says reused content without significant original commentary, substantive modifications, or educational or entertainment value can make a channel ineligible. Reviewers assess the channel as a whole. This reused-content review is separate from copyright permission: permission to rebroadcast a recording does not by itself establish that the channel meets monetization standards. See YouTube’s channel monetization policies.

Troubleshoot common setup problems
| Symptom | Likely issue | What to check or do |
|---|---|---|
| Live streaming is unavailable | The channel is not verified or has a recent livestream restriction; the age requirement may also apply | Review the channel’s status and YouTube’s current eligibility requirements before attempting setup. |
| YouTube does not receive the encoder feed | The server URL or stream key may be missing or incorrect | Compare the encoder settings with the current connection details in Live Control Room. If the key may have been exposed, reset it and update the encoder. |
| The preview is blank or has no sound | The encoder may be sending the wrong source or the source may not contain the expected picture or audio | Check the selected prerecorded file or playlist and the encoder’s input/output settings, then confirm the preview before starting the event. |
| The stream is interrupted after a copyright warning | YouTube may have detected third-party material in the live feed | Stop using material unless you have the necessary rights. If it is licensed, contact the rights holder about adding your channel to its Content ID allowlist. |
| A long stream has no expected archive | The session may have lasted 12 hours or longer, for which the cited guidance does not promise automatic archiving | Use a tested archive plan rather than relying on an uninterrupted 24/7 session to save a complete video. |
| The stream stops when the computer or connection drops | A locally operated encoder depends on the computer, power and internet connection | Test restart and failover procedures and monitor the event, or consider a cloud-run approach if you do not want a home computer to remain on. |
