LiveReacting supports video-playlist layers for prerecorded videos and lets you set a YouTube Live broadcast to Private. Connect your YouTube channel, add and order the videos, then choose Private for the stream before starting or scheduling it. This changes the broadcast’s visibility; it does not make the YouTube channel itself private.
What “private” means for a YouTube Live playlist
YouTube’s Public, Private, and Unlisted settings apply to the livestream, not to the channel as a whole. LiveReacting documents these as stream-privacy choices in its settings guide. Public is open visibility; Unlisted is not publicly listed but can be reached by people with the link; Private is the restricted option.
LiveReacting says a private preview is visible only to the account holder. If you need particular invitees to watch, do not assume that choosing Private automatically grants them access: verify the sharing and permission workflow in YouTube Studio before relying on it. YouTube’s live-stream settings help covers visibility and scheduling.
Set up the playlist and private broadcast
- Connect your YouTube channel in LiveReacting. Use the channel you intend to broadcast from and complete the connection flow.
- Create a project and add a Video Playlist layer. Select the prerecorded videos you want to play. LiveReacting’s December 16, 2025 playlist tutorial describes selecting videos for a playlist layer and playing them in sequence.
- Set the playback order. Arrange the videos as required. The playlist advances automatically; LiveReacting says it can also be modified while a continuous stream is running.
- Set the YouTube stream privacy to Private. Do this in the stream settings before launching or scheduling. Confirm the selected broadcast and visibility in YouTube Studio as well.
- Start or schedule the broadcast. LiveReacting documents scheduling YouTube streams up to two weeks ahead, using the device’s time zone. Check that time zone before confirming the start time.
- Preview and verify access. LiveReacting’s preview instructions say only the account holder can see a private preview. If viewers other than you must watch the actual broadcast, test their access using the current YouTube Studio sharing controls before the event.
Private output is different from private source videos
The privacy of the livestream and the accessibility of its source files are separate matters. LiveReacting’s July 2, 2026 guide says its YouTube URL import skips private and region-locked videos. So a private livestream setting does not mean that private YouTube uploads can be imported as playlist sources. If you intend to use those videos, confirm a supported way to provide the files rather than assuming URL import will work.

Do not confuse Private with members-only streaming
YouTube’s members-only live feature is distinct from the ordinary Private visibility setting. YouTube describes members-only access for eligible channels; its guidance says to transition to members-only while already live, rather than schedule a broadcast in that mode in advance. Use YouTube’s members-only live-stream instructions if paid membership access is the goal.
