Create a playlist from one recorded FAQ video, then add the other answers, choose who can see the playlist, and arrange the videos in a useful order. A playlist organizes recordings; it does not create a livestream. If the videos came from livestreams, first confirm that each archive exists and is visible to its intended audience.
Create the playlist and add your FAQ recordings
- Open a recorded product FAQ on YouTube.
- Select More > Save > Create new playlist.
- Enter a clear title, such as Product FAQs, and choose a visibility setting: public, unlisted, or private.
- Select Create.
- For each remaining FAQ recording, select More > Save, then choose the playlist you just created.
- Open the playlist to review its contents and drag videos into the order you want. You can also manage playlists in YouTube Studio.
YouTube documents this desktop workflow in its playlist creation and management help. A useful sequence for viewers is general setup, common use questions, troubleshooting, then advanced topics. That order is an editorial suggestion, not a YouTube requirement.
Choose access and check each video’s visibility
- Public: use this when you want the playlist broadly discoverable.
- Unlisted: use this when you want to share the playlist by link rather than make it broadly discoverable.
- Private: use this for restricted access.
Check the visibility of both the playlist and every video before sharing. Making a playlist public or unlisted does not grant access to a video that remains private; viewers still need permission to watch that video. You choose playlist privacy during creation, and YouTube’s interface and feature availability can change.
If the FAQs are livestream recordings
Verify the archive before adding it
In YouTube Studio, open Content > Live and confirm that each stream archive is present and has the intended visibility. A playlist cannot restore a missing archive or turn an unavailable recording into a playable one.

Keep a local backup
YouTube says streams shorter than 12 hours can be automatically archived, but a stream that exceeds 12 hours may not be captured at all. The 12-hour threshold is a platform rule, not a guarantee that every shorter stream will archive successfully. YouTube recommends: “We recommend recording a local archive as a backup.” See its guidance on archiving live streams and promoting a live stream.
Special cases and limits
Made for Kids videos
YouTube says a Made for Kids video or channel cannot be added to a playlist from the homepage. It says you can still add the video from search results. See YouTube’s playlist help.

Public playlist creation limit
YouTube documents a daily limit on the number of public playlists a channel can create across YouTube, YouTube Music, and the YouTube API. Advanced feature access can increase the limit. The cited help page does not state a single limit applicable to every channel, so check the current notice in your account if you reach it: YouTube playlist help for Android.
