There is no documented one-click Google tool for copying a YouTube playlist directly from one YouTube account or channel to another. For that job, Soundiiz is the clearest fit among the tools covered here: it documents same-service account transfers, subject to a free-transfer selection limit and track matching. Google Takeout and YouTube Music’s documented transfer options are primarily for moving music playlists between services, not migrating a YouTube account library wholesale.
Before choosing a route, identify whether the playlist is yours, merely saved from another user, curated, liked, collaborative, or private. Those distinctions affect what a tool can copy. Treat transfers as copies unless the service explicitly documents ongoing synchronization.
Choose a route based on where the playlist is going
| Route | Best suited to | Important limits |
|---|---|---|
| Google Takeout / YouTube Music transfer | Copying eligible created music playlists between YouTube Music and supported external music services. Google’s documented direct Takeout flow currently identifies Apple Music. | Not a documented direct YouTube-account-to-YouTube-account transfer. It is a one-time copy; eligible content and catalog tracks are restricted, and later edits do not sync. |
| Soundiiz | Third-party transfers between compatible services, including same-service account transfers. | Free playlist transfers allow up to 200 selected tracks per transfer. Batch transfers and some library categories require a paid plan. Check the connected Google profile, YouTube channel, and unmatched tracks. |
| TuneMyMusic | Playlist and library migration between the services it lists, including YouTube and YouTube Music. | The reviewed documentation does not establish a direct YouTube-account-to-YouTube-account workflow. Confirm that exact route and the applicable plan before relying on it. |
| YouTube Data API | Custom recreation by a developer who can implement authorized API access. | It provides playlist and playlist-item operations, not a ready-made consumer transfer button; implementation and authorization are required. |
Check what kind of playlist you are copying
Google’s documented export flow covers playlists you created, but not every item in a YouTube Music library. Google excludes saved playlists owned by other people, curated YouTube Music playlists, Liked Music playlists, collaborative playlists you do not own, user-uploaded or private content, and podcasts. Only catalog music tracks are supported in that flow. See Google’s transfer guidance for the current scope.
- Created by you: This is the most straightforward case, though track availability and the chosen tool’s limits still matter.
- Saved from another user: Saving a playlist is not the same as owning it. Google’s documented Takeout transfer excludes saved playlists owned by others.
- Curated, liked, collaborative, or private: Check the specific service’s supported content and your permissions before starting; do not assume these special collections will transfer.
- Podcasts or uploads: Google’s documented music transfer excludes podcasts and does not cover user-uploaded or private content.
Copy a playlist between YouTube accounts with Soundiiz
Soundiiz is the strongest documented option in this comparison for same-service account movement. Its process depends on connecting the intended accounts and selecting the correct YouTube channel; one Google login can contain multiple channels. A transfer targets the channel connected to Soundiiz, so verify it before you run the copy. Soundiiz documents up to 200 selected tracks per playlist transfer on its free plan; batch transfers and some library categories require a paid plan. See its support documentation for account and transfer details.

- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
- Identify source and destination. Confirm the playlist is accessible from the source and that you can create a playlist on the intended destination channel.
- Connect the accounts in Soundiiz. Sign in to the correct Google profile and authorize the YouTube channel you intend to use. If a profile exposes several channels, explicitly check which one is connected as the source and which as the destination.
- Select the playlist and review the selection. For a free transfer, keep the selected playlist within the documented 200-track limit. If the playlist is larger or you need batch transfers, check Soundiiz’s current paid-plan terms.
- Run the transfer and inspect its results. Soundiiz searches the destination catalog for equivalent tracks and marks unmatched items. A matched title is not a guarantee that every version, recording, or metadata detail is identical.
- Open the destination YouTube channel and compare the playlist. Check its name, order, and track list, then add or replace any items the tool did not match.
Soundiiz describes temporary YouTube request limiting and playlist-limit errors. If a transfer fails, confirm the selected channel can create a playlist, verify the account/channel selection, and retry later if requests are being limited. A failure or partial match is a reason to inspect the destination, not assume the source playlist was fully reproduced.
When Google Takeout or YouTube Music makes more sense
Use Google’s documented route when the goal is moving eligible created YouTube Music playlists to a supported external music service, rather than copying an entire YouTube account library to another YouTube account. Google currently identifies Apple Music for its direct Takeout transfer. YouTube Music also documents importing from other music services and names TuneMyMusic and Soundiiz as possible tools; unavailable tracks may not transfer, and podcasts are excluded. The source library remains in its original service.

The Takeout share-copy flow does not delete the playlists from your Google Account: Google states, “Your YouTube playlists aren’t deleted from your Google Account after you share them.” That reassurance applies to this documented Google flow; it should not be generalized to every third-party migration or account-copy method. Both Google and YouTube Music describe their documented transfers as one-time rather than synchronized, so later changes in one service do not update the other.
Where TuneMyMusic and the YouTube API fit
TuneMyMusic is a cross-service option, not a confirmed same-account answer
TuneMyMusic says it supports YouTube and YouTube Music and offers playlist or library transfer between services, as well as file- and URL-based import paths. The available documentation here does not confirm direct copying from one YouTube account to another. Check the exact source/destination workflow, supported content, and plan limits before authorizing it for that specific job. YouTube Music notes that third-party services are provided by those providers; Google does not guarantee their quality or handle disputes. See Google’s guidance on third-party transfers.

The API is for a custom workflow
A developer can use the YouTube Data API to list playlists and playlist items, create a playlist under an authorized destination account, and insert items. That is a way to build a recreation workflow, not a consumer-facing transfer tool. API authorization, handling missing or inaccessible items, and verifying the resulting playlist remain part of the implementation.
How to reduce surprises and troubleshoot a partial transfer
- The destination playlist does not appear: Check that the destination Google profile and YouTube channel are the intended ones and that the channel can create playlists.
- Some tracks are missing or differ: Catalog availability and matching can vary. Review the unmatched-item report where provided and manually search for the intended recording or version.
- A saved or special playlist is absent: Confirm ownership and playlist type. Google Takeout does not include several saved, curated, liked, collaborative, private, or podcast categories described above.
- The service reports a playlist or request limit: Soundiiz documents temporary YouTube request limiting and playlist-limit errors. Recheck channel selection and playlist-creation ability; if requests are temporarily limited, wait before retrying.
- You expected edits to keep syncing: The documented Google and YouTube Music transfers are one-time copies. Make subsequent changes separately unless the selected tool explicitly states that it synchronizes them.
For any tool, start with a representative playlist, verify the destination, and only then move additional lists. This catches wrong-channel selection and matching problems before you repeat them across a larger library.
