For a playlist the new account can access, open its link while signed in to that account and save it to the library; to own a separately editable playlist, recreate it there. Private videos need separate access permission from their uploader.
Choose between saving access and creating a new playlist
Saving a playlist to your library and owning a separate copy are different outcomes. YouTube documents how to save playlists, but that does not mean the new account owns the original playlist. If you need the new account to manage its own playlist, recreate it under that account.

The same basic save-and-share workflow is described in YouTube Help pages localized for India. Those instructions do not describe a separate India-specific playlist-transfer method.
Save a shareable playlist to the new account
- While signed in to the old account, open the playlist page and copy its URL. Copy the playlist page address, not the URL of an individual video; the playlist URL identifies the playlist.
- Open that URL while signed in to the new Google Account.
- Use YouTube’s save-playlist control if it is available. YouTube documents saving a playlist from a video in the playlist, and notes that an owner can make a playlist publicly addable to viewers’ libraries.
- Open the new account’s library and check that the playlist appears and that its videos are playable.
This workflow saves access to the original playlist; it is not an ownership transfer. If you need the new account to edit and manage its own separate playlist, use the recreation steps below.

Recreate the playlist under the new account
- Sign in to the new account and create a playlist there.
- From the old playlist, open each video that the new account is allowed to view.
- Add each video to the new playlist, checking that YouTube is adding it to the playlist belonging to the new account.
- Review the new playlist and remove any entries that are unavailable or that the new account cannot play.
The work involved depends on the playlist’s size and whether its videos remain available. A YouTube Help Community Product Expert response dated May 20, 2026 says downloaded Takeout data cannot be automatically imported as playlists and recommends recreating them manually. That is community guidance, not an official YouTube import-policy statement.
Private videos need permission from their uploader
A playlist URL does not grant access to private videos. YouTube’s sharing guidance says that if a playlist contains private videos, the owner needs to invite the intended viewers to watch them. Ask the uploader to share each private video with the new account, then check access while signed in to that account. If permission is not granted, saving or recreating a playlist will not make the video playable.

Why Takeout and channel moving are not playlist-transfer shortcuts
Google Takeout
Takeout can export account data, but the cited YouTube Help Community guidance does not establish an automatic route to import an exported playlist into another account. Keep the export if you need it for your records, but plan to save an accessible playlist link or rebuild the playlist manually rather than relying on an import feature.
Moving a Brand Account channel
YouTube’s channel-move instructions cover moving a YouTube channel between Brand Accounts associated with the same Google Account; they are not a general tool for transferring playlists between personal Google Accounts. The channel and Brand Accounts must satisfy YouTube’s eligibility requirements. Supervised accounts cannot move a channel, while a school account may have a qualified transfer option.

Do not use a channel move just to migrate playlists. YouTube warns that choosing “Replace” for an existing destination channel permanently deletes that channel’s content, including playlists. If your real goal is to move a channel, follow YouTube’s current official channel-transfer instructions and verify the selected source and destination before proceeding.
