You can keep a YouTube channel playing Malayalam music videos around the clock without leaving a home computer on by using a cloud streaming service that accepts uploaded videos and sends them to YouTube Live. The essential prerequisite is not the encoder: you must have rights to livestream every video, and YouTube may interrupt a stream if its rights systems detect material that is not cleared or allowlisted.

Clear the rights before uploading music videos
Only include videos for which you have permission to use the complete audiovisual work in a continuous YouTube livestream. YouTube’s livestream terms place responsibility on the provider to have all necessary rights, including music licensing rights from artists, record labels, publishers and other royalty participants. A right to listen to a song, or permission to post it on another platform, does not by itself establish permission to rebroadcast its recording and video on YouTube.

Confirm with the relevant rights holders or their representatives that your permission covers the sound recording, composition and video as applicable; YouTube livestreaming; the territories where the stream will be available; its intended duration; and monetization, if any. Keep the written permissions accessible. YouTube for Artists recommends coordinating with a label or distributor when using copyright-protected music during a livestream.
Permission and Content ID allowlisting are separate checks
YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. If it identifies a match, it may replace the broadcast with a placeholder and warn you; continued use can lead to interruption or termination. YouTube also says a licensed stream may still be interrupted if the channel is not on the relevant rights owner’s Content ID allowlist. Ask the owner or distributor whether allowlisting is required and have it arranged before launch; a license alone may not prevent an automated interruption.
Set up the channel and cloud playlist
- Assemble a cleared playlist. Confirm that every Malayalam music video has the permissions needed for continuous YouTube livestreaming. Check territory, term, monetization and allowlisting with the rights holders, and retain the records.
- Enable YouTube livestreaming. Verify that the channel can go live before setting a launch date. YouTube for Artists says first-time live streaming should be enabled through account verification at least 24 hours before the planned stream.
- Choose a cloud encoder. Select a service that accepts prerecorded files or playlists and can send a continuous feed to YouTube Live without a local computer. Review its current connection method, storage and upload limits, recovery behavior, monitoring, archive handling, availability and price. Provider descriptions are not independent performance guarantees.
- Connect YouTube and prepare the broadcast. Follow the service’s supported channel-authorization or stream-key process, then set the stream title, description, visibility and playlist. Protect any stream key as a credential: do not post it publicly, and replace it in YouTube Studio if you believe it has been exposed.
- Run a supervised trial. Start the stream before relying on it as an always-on broadcast. Check the public YouTube player and YouTube Studio for warnings, copyright claims, restrictions and connection status. Confirm that the playlist advances as intended.
- Plan recording retention separately. Do not assume that a 24-hour stream will produce a replay of a particular duration. The available guidance does not establish a universal archive duration. Check current YouTube guidance and your provider’s archive settings, and decide how you will preserve recordings if you need them.
Choose a cloud workflow rather than home hardware
For this requirement, the practical choice is a cloud encoder versus operating an encoder on equipment at home. A home PC or dedicated encoder would need to remain part of the broadcast path, so it does not meet the goal of avoiding a home machine. Cloud services differ, so compare whether prerecorded YouTube playlists are supported, how channel authorization and stream keys are handled, storage limits, recovery and monitoring, archive or rotation behavior, price, availability, security and support.

Troubleshoot interruptions and setup problems
- YouTube will not let the channel start a live stream: Check channel livestream eligibility and complete the required verification. For first-time enablement, allow at least 24 hours before the planned broadcast, as YouTube for Artists advises.
- The stream is replaced by a placeholder or interrupted: Review YouTube Studio for a copyright warning or claim. Confirm that the relevant recording, composition and video are covered by your permissions, then ask the rights owner or distributor whether the channel must be added to its Content ID allowlist.
- The stream stops after starting: Check the cloud provider’s connection status and recovery controls, then review YouTube Studio for platform warnings or restrictions.
