If Gyre does not recognize your YouTube channel, reconnect through Gyre’s Connect with YouTube flow using the Google Account that owns the channel, then add or select the intended channel. A YouTube Studio invitation gives someone channel permissions; YouTube says invited delegates cannot access YouTube APIs, so that invitation may not replace the owner-account authorization Gyre requires.
First, check how you granted access
“Granted access” can mean two different things. Gyre’s YouTube connection flow authorizes access through Google for the channel’s API connection. YouTube Studio channel permissions instead let invited people manage certain channel tasks according to their role. YouTube’s help documentation says invited delegates cannot access YouTube APIs, while Gyre says the Google Account that owns the channel must authorize its connection.

Reconnect the channel in Gyre
- In Gyre’s stream creation flow, select YouTube and choose Connect with YouTube.
- At Google’s authorization step, sign in with the Google Account that owns the intended YouTube channel and authorize the connection. Gyre says each channel must be authorized separately.
- In Gyre, add the channel or select it from the channels already connected. If the Google Account is associated with multiple channels, check that you selected the one you meant to use.
Gyre describes this owner-account authorization and channel-selection flow in its YouTube authorization guide. If you are unsure which account owns the channel, verify that before retrying with a delegated account.
Check YouTube’s live-stream eligibility
If this would be the channel’s first live stream, check whether YouTube channel verification is complete. Gyre says verification is required for a first-time live stream and may take up to 24 hours. This is a separate eligibility check: it may affect going live, but it does not establish why an already authorized channel is missing from Gyre.

If the channel is still missing
- Confirm that the Google Account that completed Gyre’s authorization owns the channel, rather than only having a YouTube Studio delegate role.
- Confirm that you added or selected the intended channel in Gyre, especially if the Google Account is associated with multiple channels.
- Record the exact error text, the Google Account used for authorization, and whether that account owns or is delegated to the channel.
- Contact Gyre support with those details if the owner-account authorization completed but the channel remains absent.
Gyre’s public help material does not describe this exact “channel not recognized after granting access” symptom as a confirmed error with one known cause. It also does not prescribe a specific reset, cache-clearing, or authorization-revocation procedure for it, so do not assume those steps are an established fix.
Keep other Gyre requirements separate
Gyre’s article titled “Authorization error” concerns signing in to a Gyre account. It advises confirming the registration email or resetting the Gyre password if the email is already confirmed; it does not address a YouTube channel missing after connection.

Gyre also requires video files used in a stream to be uploaded to Gyre Storage. That is a content-preparation requirement after connection, not a fix for Gyre failing to recognize an authorized channel. See Gyre’s YouTube authorization guide for the stream setup context.
