Yes—OneStream Live documents a direct Google Drive file-selection workflow for looping a pre-recorded video as a scheduled broadcast. In its web app, choose Pre-recorded Stream → Add Videos → Cloud Storage → Google Drive, select the file, set a loop count of up to 60, choose the destination, add stream details and schedule. This transfers a video file from Drive into a streaming workflow; it does not mean that a YouTube watch-page link can be imported as a video file. OneStream Live’s instructions were updated September 21, 2026.
Before you start: a Drive file is not a YouTube link
Check what you actually have. A video file stored in Google Drive can be selected through OneStream Live’s documented Cloud Storage workflow. A YouTube URL is a link to a video, not the same input as a file in Drive; do not assume a service can fetch or convert that URL into a transferable file.
- Make sure the video appears as a file in the Google Drive account you can access.
- Confirm you have the rights and permissions needed to broadcast it, including music, footage and other incorporated material.
- Check that you can sign in to the streaming service and authorize the intended YouTube destination before scheduling.
Google Drive supports storing and playing videos directly, but its Help page notes that compatibility varies by device and lists its own playback maximum as 1920 × 1080. That is a Drive playback limit, not a statement of the maximum resolution accepted by a streaming service. Google Drive’s video help lists WebM, MPEG4/3GPP, MOV, AVI, MPEGPS, WMV, FLV, MTS and OGG among supported formats.
Transfer a Google Drive video into OneStream Live
- Open the pre-recorded workflow. In OneStream Live’s web app, select Pre-recorded Stream, then Add Videos.
- Choose Drive as the source. Select Cloud Storage, choose Google Drive, and select the video file. The service’s mobile instructions also list Cloud Storage as a source.
- Set the repeat count. Choose how many times the video should play in this broadcast. The documented maximum is 60 loops for this workflow.
- Choose the destination and enter stream details. Select the social destination, fill in the broadcast information and confirm the account and destination are correct.
- Schedule the broadcast. Review the details and schedule it. OneStream describes the video as repeating during a single broadcast; check the scheduled start and destination in the app before relying on it.
These are the steps documented by the OneStream Live Help Center. The cited instructions do not specify every account-plan, file-size or stream-duration limit, so verify those in your account before preparing a long broadcast.

Check Drive storage, format and playback limits
Upload the video to Drive if it is not there yet
From a computer, Google’s documented route is New → File upload. If you have a shareable link, Drive’s Share menu can provide a video link, but a link should not be treated as equivalent to selecting the file through OneStream’s Cloud Storage picker.
Make sure your account has room
Google says a video can use up to 5 TB of storage if that much capacity has been purchased; otherwise it is limited by the available storage on the account. This is a Drive storage allowance, not a OneStream upload or streaming limit. Drive playback quality may also depend on internet quality and speed.

Do not infer streaming compatibility from Drive playback
Drive’s supported format list is useful when checking a file, but Google cautions that not every format works on every device. The cited OneStream loop instructions do not provide a complete supported-format or resolution table. Confirm the file works in the service’s selection flow and check its current requirements rather than assuming Drive playback proves it will stream as intended.
Other cloud-loop option in India: what is and is not documented
GoLive India describes continuous cloud broadcasts to YouTube, including pre-recorded video, scheduling and looping/iteration. However, the cited GoLive India page describes sources such as a local-device upload, video link or camera; it does not explicitly confirm Google Drive as a selectable source. Ask GoLive India to confirm direct Drive import or link-fetch behavior before building a workflow around it.

The available documentation supports comparing the services on their stated inputs, but not a complete price, plan-limit or file-constraint comparison. OneStream documents Drive selection and a 60-loop maximum; the cited GoLive page does not establish direct Drive selection. Check each provider’s current account and plan terms before scheduling.
Rights, credits and YouTube readiness
Only loop material you are authorized to broadcast. Having a file in Drive—or being able to play it from a link—does not itself establish permission to stream its video, music or other content. Include any required attribution and license information, and check YouTube’s current policies for your content and channel.

As a platform-specific example, DIKSHA’s creator upload instructions accept local MP4/WebM files or URLs for YouTube videos and other files, specify a 500 MB limit for DIKSHA, and say the platform validates standard YouTube credits and licenses. That 500 MB figure applies to DIKSHA, not to OneStream Live, GoLive India or YouTube generally. See DIKSHA’s content upload instructions.

- The file does not appear in the picker: confirm you selected Google Drive under Cloud Storage, signed into the account containing the file and granted the requested access. If you only have a YouTube URL, locate the actual source file or ask the service whether it supports that link as an input.
- The file appears but will not play or stream: check its format and try a commonly supported video format such as MP4 if you have a rights-cleared source available. The cited service instructions do not give a full format matrix, so confirm current compatibility with the provider.
- Drive playback is poor or unavailable: Google notes that playback can be affected by internet quality and speed, and that format compatibility varies by device. Check the original file and Drive playback separately from the streaming service’s handling of it.
- The broadcast will not schedule or reach YouTube: re-check destination selection, account access, stream details and any service-specific plan or account limits. The cited OneStream instructions do not enumerate all plan limits.
- The video stops repeating sooner than expected: inspect the configured loop count; OneStream’s documented limit is 60 loops per setup. If you need a longer continuous broadcast, ask the service which workflow and account terms support it.
Or let it run in the cloud
If you want a YouTube channel to stay live from uploaded videos without leaving a computer running at home, StreamNeo is another cloud option. Upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, then go live. StreamNeo loops uploaded videos from the cloud; it does not broadcast from a camera.
