To repeat one Tamil sleep meditation overnight, open the video’s player menu and choose Settings → Additional settings → Loop video. For a sequence, start a playlist and turn on its Loop control. Autoplay is different: it chooses a related video, and YouTube may pause to ask whether you’re still watching, so it is not a dependable way to keep a particular meditation playing unattended all night.
Choose the playback control that matches what you want

Repeat one video on your device
Phone or tablet
- Open the meditation in the YouTube app and start playback.
- Tap the video to show its controls, then open Settings.
- Choose Additional settings, then Loop video.
- Confirm the loop option is enabled. The video should restart when it reaches the end.
YouTube’s loop instructions are documented for Android here: Loop videos or playlists on YouTube — Android. Labels and menu placement may differ by device or app version.
Computer
- Open the video on YouTube and start playback.
- Open the player’s settings menu and look under Additional settings for Loop video.
- Turn the option on. If that option is not shown in your current player layout, use a playlist and enable its Loop control instead.
TV or game console
- Start the video in the YouTube app.
- Use the remote or controller to open the playback options.
- Select Repeat while the video is playing.
Menu names and locations can vary between TV and console apps. Check the playback controls shown by your device.
Repeat a playlist instead
- Create or open a playlist containing the meditations you want to hear.
- Start playback from the playlist, not from an individual video outside it.
- Turn on the playlist’s Loop control. YouTube also documents a further loop selection for repeating only the current video in the playlist.
Playlist loop keeps the sequence you chose in rotation; Autoplay instead moves to a related video selected by YouTube. For the Android loop instructions, see YouTube Help.

Why playback can still pause overnight
Looping is the right control for replaying a selected video or playlist, but it does not guarantee uninterrupted unattended playback. YouTube says it may show a “Continue watching?” prompt while Autoplay is on. Its Help page gives intervals of 30 minutes on mobile, 60 minutes on web, and 180 minutes on TV. These are times when the prompt may appear, not a promise that playback will stop at exactly those times or a guarantee that a loop will run all night. See Why YouTube asks, “Continue watching?”.
Autoplay is also not a substitute for looping: according to YouTube, when Autoplay is on, another related video automatically plays after a video ends. If the same Tamil meditation must repeat, use Loop video or playlist Loop rather than relying on Autoplay.

Keep the phone screen off only if background audio is available
If you leave the YouTube app open and the video playing, looping does not require background play. If you want the audio to continue after locking the phone or switching apps, YouTube’s Android troubleshooting guidance says background play requires YouTube Premium and that some videos are ineligible. Availability can therefore depend on both the account and the particular video. See YouTube Help: Background play isn’t working — Android.
Use Sleep Timer only if you want playback to stop
Sleep Timer is for setting an end point, not keeping a meditation running overnight. YouTube describes it as a way to have videos automatically pause after a chosen time. Leave it off for continuous playback; set it only if you prefer the meditation to stop after you fall asleep. Help pages: Computer and Android.

Troubleshoot a meditation that stops or changes
- The same video does not restart: Check that Loop video or the device’s Repeat control is on. Autoplay may move to a related video instead.
- A different video starts: You are likely using Autoplay. Turn it off if you want the selected video to repeat, then enable Loop video or playlist Loop.
- You see “Continue watching?”: YouTube may be checking whether you are still watching while Autoplay is enabled. The prompt intervals documented by YouTube are 30 minutes on mobile, 60 minutes on web, and 180 minutes on TV; playback may need confirmation to continue.
- Audio stops when the screen locks or you switch apps: Background play on Android requires YouTube Premium, and YouTube notes that some videos cannot play in the background. Keep the app in the foreground or check whether the account and video support background play.
- The video pauses at a chosen time: Check whether Sleep Timer is enabled. It is designed to pause playback after its selected duration.
- The menu looks different: YouTube’s controls vary across phones, computers, TVs, consoles, and app versions. Look for Loop in the video’s playback settings or Repeat in the TV/console playback options.
