For a finished 1080p30 SDR playlist video, export an MP4 with H.264 video, progressive scan, a frame rate matching your source, VBR video at YouTube’s recommended 8 Mbps, and 48 kHz stereo audio. If you mean a live encoder broadcast rather than an uploaded file, use a different target: YouTube recommends 14 Mbps for 1080p30 H.264 live video, CBR, and a two-second keyframe interval. These are YouTube’s platform recommendations, not devotional-specific presets or guarantees of quality.
First choose: upload a finished playlist or broadcast live
The most important setting is the workflow. Upload encoding recommendations apply to a rendered video file; live ingest recommendations apply to a real-time encoder feed. Do not use the live bitrate as an export target for an upload, or vice versa.
- Finished-file upload: Render the playlist to a video file, then upload it to YouTube. Use the upload specifications below.
- Live broadcast: Send an encoder feed to YouTube Live. Use the live settings below and plan for a reliable, sustained internet connection.
YouTube’s official guides do not establish a separate encoding preset for Hindi devotional music, bhajans, kirtan, Gurbani, or playlists. The same general technical recommendations apply; listen particularly carefully to the audio across transitions and the full program.
Settings for a finished 1080p SDR upload
| Setting | Recommended starting point |
|---|---|
| Container | MP4 |
| Video codec | H.264 |
| Scan and chroma | Progressive scan, 4:2:0 |
| Frame rate | Match the source recording |
| Video rate control | VBR |
| Video bitrate at 24, 25, or 30 fps | 8 Mbps |
| Video bitrate at 48, 50, or 60 fps | 12 Mbps |
| Audio | 48 kHz; YouTube recommends 384 kbps for stereo audio |
| File layout | Fast Start (moov atom at front); no edit lists |
These values are from YouTube’s recommended upload encoding settings. The bitrate figures are platform recommendations, not results from a test of a particular devotional program.

- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Keep the source frame rate
YouTube says, “Content should be encoded and uploaded in the same frame rate it was recorded.” A mostly static playlist does not automatically benefit from 60 fps. If your source is 25 fps, for example, keep it at 25 fps rather than creating extra frames without a source-based reason. If the footage is interlaced, deinterlace it for the progressive export.
Check the whole audio program
Use 48 kHz audio for the upload. After rendering, listen to the opening, each transition, and the ending. Check for clipping, silence, abrupt level changes, or unintended gaps; these are practical quality checks, not special YouTube requirements. The upload guidance lists AAC-LC, Opus, or Eclipsa Audio as supported audio choices; for a conventional stereo export, AAC is a straightforward option.

Settings for a 1080p30 live encoder stream
| Setting | YouTube live recommendation |
|---|---|
| Video codec | H.264: 14 Mbps; AV1 or H.265: 10 Mbps |
| Rate control | CBR |
| Keyframe interval | 2 seconds; do not exceed 4 seconds |
| Audio codec | AAC or MP3 |
| Audio bitrate | 128 kbps stereo in the live advanced settings |
| Connection | RTMPS where available |
These are YouTube’s published live encoder recommendations for the stated resolution and frame rate. Consult YouTube’s live encoder settings, bitrates, and resolutions for other resolutions and frame rates. Live audio guidance differs from upload audio guidance: the live advanced settings list 44.1 kHz for stereo, while the upload page recommends 48 kHz. Follow the specification for your workflow rather than merging the two.
Reserve bandwidth and test before going public
YouTube recommends having 20% more upload bandwidth than the total streaming bitrate. Treat that as headroom above the combined stream rate, not as a replacement for checking whether your connection can sustain the broadcast. YouTube also advises testing with representative audio and movement: “Tests should include audio and movement in the video similar to what you’ll be doing in the stream.” Watch stream health during the broadcast. See YouTube’s streaming tips.

Export and preflight workflow
- Decide which specification applies. Choose the upload table for a finished file or the live table for an encoder feed.
- Inspect the source. Confirm its resolution and frame rate. Preserve the source frame rate for an upload; deinterlace interlaced footage.
- Set the video target. For a typical 1080p SDR upload, select the bitrate for the matching frame-rate category in the upload table. For live, select the live bitrate for the chosen codec, resolution, and frame rate.
- Set audio for the workflow. For an upload, use 48 kHz and the upload audio recommendation. For live, follow the live audio settings rather than assuming upload settings also apply.
- Review the rendered playlist. Listen through the beginning, transitions, and ending for clipping, silence, or gaps. Confirm the complete file plays as intended before uploading.
- For a live broadcast, test and monitor. Confirm sustained upload capacity with the recommended headroom, run a representative test, and watch YouTube stream health.
Copyright and YouTube monetization are separate from export settings
Correct resolution, bitrate, and audio encoding do not establish that you have the rights to stream the music or imagery. Before publishing a devotional playlist, make sure you are authorized to use every recording and visual element. Encoding recommendations also do not determine whether a channel or video meets YouTube’s monetization rules; treat copyright clearance and monetization eligibility as separate checks.
