Estimate Super Chat income from your channel’s own YouTube Analytics data: divide creator-reported Supers revenue by the eligible hours you streamed in the same period, then multiply that hourly rate by the hours you plan to stream. Treat the result as a forecast, not a promised or typical earnings rate. Audience activity, eligibility, and purchase behavior can vary by time and day, so a single rate may not represent a full 24/7 schedule.
Start with creator-reported Supers revenue
For an estimate of your income, use the Supers revenue shown in your YouTube Analytics, rather than the total viewers spent on Super Chats. YouTube’s partner earnings overview states that partners who accept the Commerce Product Module receive 70% of net revenue from channel memberships, Super Chat, Super Stickers, and Super Thanks. YouTube’s Super Chat help page explains that the 70% calculation is based on Supers revenue confirmed by Google after local sales tax and iOS App Store fees; YouTube says it currently covers transaction costs, including credit-card fees.
That distinction matters: viewer spending is not the same as creator proceeds. The clearest basis for forecasting creator income is the amount YouTube reports for your channel. YouTube also notes that Supers revenue reporting is available in Analytics.
Find the right Analytics figures
- Open YouTube Studio and go to Analytics → Revenue → How you make money. Find the Supers reporting for a historical period that includes the channel or stream you want to model. YouTube may update Studio labels or layouts, so confirm the current view in your account.
- Record the reported Supers revenue and the stream hours for that same period. Keep the revenue basis, date range, and hour count aligned. Count hours when the stream was actually live and eligible for Supers, not merely hours you intended to broadcast.
- Check the reporting view if the numbers seem incomplete. YouTube’s live-stream metrics documentation warns that interaction and revenue reports are unavailable when filtering for Live alone. Use an Analytics view that includes Live & on demand where needed, and verify the applicable stream-level data.
- Allow for reporting timing. YouTube says video-level metrics become available within minutes after a stream ends, but that does not mean every revenue view is immediately complete. Recheck the relevant Analytics report after its figures have populated.
Calculate an observed hourly rate
Use this formula for creator-reported revenue:
Observed Supers revenue per live hour = Analytics Supers revenue Ă· eligible live hours in the same period

For example, if your Analytics report shows a particular amount of Supers revenue over a measured number of eligible live hours, divide the first figure by the second. The result describes that channel’s observed creator-reported rate for that period; it is not a platform-wide rate. If you start with viewer purchase totals instead of Analytics revenue, do not label the result creator earnings, because YouTube’s share and applicable deductions affect the amount creators receive.

Estimated creator-reported Supers revenue = observed Supers revenue per live hour Ă— forecast live hours
A continuous schedule has 24 stream hours per day, but multiplying one historical hourly rate by every planned hour is useful only if the historical interval is reasonably representative of the future schedule and audience behavior. A rate observed during a busy evening should not automatically be applied to overnight hours.

Time-slot and day-of-week estimate
When your channel has enough historical data, group observations into comparable time-of-day and day-of-week blocks. Calculate an observed rate for each block, multiply each rate by the forecast hours in its matching block, and add the block estimates. This is a practical modeling approach, not an official YouTube formula.
- Choose comparable blocks, such as the same hours on weekdays or weekend evenings.
- For each block, divide creator-reported Supers revenue by eligible live hours from that block.
- Multiply each block’s rate by the number of matching hours in the forecast schedule.
- Add the separate estimates for the total forecast.
Keep eligible and ineligible periods separate where possible. A period in which Supers could not be purchased should not be treated as equivalent to an eligible period.

Show a range, not false precision
Build a lower, typical, and higher scenario from your own observed periods—for example, comparable lower, middle, and stronger historical blocks. State each period’s duration, the hours represented, and that the figures are creator-reported Analytics revenue. The official YouTube sources cited here do not establish a typical Super Chat rate per hour for 24/7 channels or a standard forecast range.

A 24-hour broadcast does not automatically make Super Chat available for every video or every viewer. YouTube’s eligibility guidance makes availability conditional on creator eligibility, location, applicable terms, and video or chat settings. The current eligible-location list and requirements can change; check YouTube Help and the Earn section in Studio rather than relying on a static location list.

- Availability can differ by viewer location, so a channel’s live hours do not guarantee that every viewer can make a purchase.
When reviewing past performance, check whether the stream and its chat settings allowed Supers during the hours you count. If some periods were not eligible, exclude or model them separately instead of assuming they had the same purchase opportunity.
Review the estimate against actual results
After the forecast period, compare the estimate with the corresponding Supers revenue in YouTube Analytics. Keep the reporting view consistent, note whether all forecast hours were actually live and eligible, and revise the time-slot assumptions if actual results differ. This makes the estimate a channel-specific planning tool that improves with your own observations; it does not turn past behavior into a guarantee of future purchases.
