If YouTube says your RTMP stream key is already in use, first stop any other encoder or device that might be streaming with that key. Then copy the current key from YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room into your encoder and retry. YouTube recommends refreshing the key and updating the encoder for third-party encoder startup errors. The exact “already in use” message is not defined in the official guidance, however, so another active session is a troubleshooting possibility—not a confirmed explanation or proof that JioFiber is at fault.
Fix “YouTube stream key already in use” in this order

Close possible duplicate encoder sessions
Stop other encoder instances, streaming devices, or computers that could be publishing with the same YouTube stream key. Then retry from the device you intend to use. This is a sensible check based on the wording of the message, but YouTube does not document that wording as proof that another session is active.

Copy the current stream key from YouTube Studio
Open YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room, select Stream, copy the stream key, and replace the key in your encoder. YouTube’s guidance for third-party encoder startup errors is to get a new stream key in the Live Control Room and update the encoder: Troubleshoot your YouTube live stream.
Treat the key like a password. Do not share it in screenshots, public posts, or support tickets. If you believe it has been exposed, replace it in YouTube Studio and update the encoder that should use it.

Update and inspect the encoder
Install the latest version available for your encoder, then check its preview, error indicators, and CPU load. If the preview looks healthy but YouTube still cannot receive the stream, YouTube recommends checking the outbound internet connection rather than assuming the encoder is the cause: YouTube live-stream troubleshooting.

Check RTMPS settings only if the symptoms point to a transport or SSL problem
In Live Control Room, verify the ingestion URL and use the RTMPS URL if that is the protocol configured for your broadcast. Confirm that the encoder supports RTMPS. YouTube’s guidance for relevant SSL errors includes checking the URL and trying port 443; for timeouts, check the URL and encoder support. See YouTube’s troubleshooting steps and YouTube’s encoder setup guidance. Google’s developer guide says an RTMPS connection must use port 443 and the correct server details, including SNI hostname handling: Delivering Live YouTube Content via RTMPS.

These are checks for connection and SSL symptoms. They do not, by themselves, explain a stream-key “already in use” message.

Test the outbound connection, then check JioFiber
Run an outbound connectivity test. If it indicates a network problem, YouTube advises contacting your internet service provider. For JioFiber, use MyJio > Run Diagnostics to check general connection, router, Wi-Fi, and device health and follow any repair prompts: JioFiber support.

If practical, try the same setup on another network. A different result can help isolate whether the connection path matters, but it does not prove that Jio blocked the stream or caused the key error.

Escalate with the details that help support
If the error persists after trying a fresh key and closing other encoder sessions, record the exact message, encoder name and version, whether you use RTMPS, and when the failure occurred. For a third-party encoder with a keyless account-login integration, YouTube directs users to the encoder’s support team; otherwise, report the issue to YouTube. Contact Jio if diagnostics point to an ISP or network problem. Never include the full stream key in a ticket or screenshot.

Does JioFiber cause this stream-key error?
The available official guidance does not establish that JioFiber causes a YouTube stream-key “already in use” error. YouTube documents refreshing the key and updating a third-party encoder after a startup error, and separately recommends testing outbound connectivity when the encoder appears healthy. Jio documents general connection diagnostics, not a link between JioFiber and YouTube stream-key sessions.
So treat the key or encoder configuration as the first thing to check. Investigate JioFiber if connection tests or MyJio diagnostics indicate a broader network issue; do not assume an ISP block, CGNAT problem, YouTube outage, or universal active-session rule from this message alone.
