Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →To use NVIDIA Broadcast with OBS, select your physical microphone or camera inside Broadcast, then choose the corresponding NVIDIA Broadcast virtual device in OBS. Broadcast applies its effects; OBS receives the processed audio or video. You do not enable Broadcast’s AI effects in OBS itself.
Before you start: check compatibility
NVIDIA’s current requirements list a GeForce RTX 2060, Quadro RTX 3000, TITAN RTX, or higher GPU; at least 8 GB of RAM; and 64-bit Windows 10. The listed driver options are NVIDIA Studio Driver R570, Game Ready Driver R570, or NVIDIA RTX Enterprise Driver R570 and above. An Intel Core i5 8600 or AMD Ryzen r5 2600 or higher is recommended, and an internet connection is needed during installation.
Requirements can change with the app version, so check NVIDIA’s live requirements page before buying hardware or troubleshooting compatibility. NVIDIA says the Broadcast app uses RTX GPU Tensor Cores; GTX GPUs are not supported for the app. OBS Studio is a supported receiving app.
Set up NVIDIA Broadcast as your OBS microphone
- Open NVIDIA Broadcast. In the microphone section, choose the physical microphone you actually use as the input device.
- Choose the effects you need. Enable the desired audio processing in Broadcast. Avoid enabling similar noise removal in OBS, your audio driver, or another processing layer at the same time.
- Open OBS audio settings. Go to Settings > Audio.
- Select the virtual microphone. Under Mic/Auxiliary Audio, choose Microphone (NVIDIA Broadcast).
- Check the result. Speak and confirm that the OBS audio meter responds. Listen to a short test recording before recording or going live.
The order matters: Broadcast must receive your physical microphone first; OBS then receives the processed signal from Broadcast’s virtual microphone.
#1 Best Overall
- [Award-Winning Studio Voice] The Red Dot winning podcast microphone delivers camera-ready styling for streaming and pro-grade recording clarity that sounds rich and full. It rounds off all the harsh tones while bringing out warm natural podcast vocals. Off-axis rejection from the dynamic microphone reduces costly post-production.
- [USB & XLR Ready] The USB microphone covers every creative stage. The USB end offers plug-and-play daily use for quick Zoom calls or meetings. You can switch to XLR as your setup expands into a professional studio. From home recording and broadcast, the XLR microphone adapts to any workflow-ready when you are.
- [Onboard Command Center] Front-panel controls on the streaming mic keep essential adjustments within reach. Tap mute when you need a sip without cutting your gaming chat. Turn the gain knob to dial in ideal level while the headphone jack on the vocal microphone delivers real-time monitoring. You hear exactly what your audience hears.
- [Ambient-Noise Resistant] 192kHz sampling picks up emotional nuances in your voice-over and brings audiobook characters to life, pulling listeners into the story. 70dB SNR keeps your voice clean, crisp and silky-no distortion or hiss. The cardioid pattern on the gaming mic rejects room noise and echo from the sides.
- [All-Metal Frame] Solid metal build with multi-layer internal suspension isolates the capsule from desk vibrations, accidental bumps and AC hum. Durable and stylish design on the studio recording microphone withstand the hits of time. The microphone for computer suits for content creation, online courses or interview, whether in the studio or on the go.
Use NVIDIA Broadcast’s camera in OBS
- In NVIDIA Broadcast, choose your physical camera as the camera input and enable the video effects you want.
- In OBS, select the scene where you want the camera to appear.
- In the Sources box, click + and add a Video Capture Source.
- In that source’s device list, select Camera (NVIDIA Broadcast), then confirm the source.
- Check the OBS preview and confirm that the image and framing are right before recording or streaming.
If you use both processed audio and video, configure each path separately: select the physical input in Broadcast, then the matching Broadcast virtual device in OBS.
Choose effects without creating audio or GPU problems
- Avoid duplicate noise removal. If Broadcast is filtering noise, turn off similar noise-removal processing in OBS, the driver, or other software. Stacking filters can alter the sound and make troubleshooting harder.
- Enable only what you need. NVIDIA notes that running more than one effect increases the app’s GPU use, and some effect combinations are unavailable. Start with the effect addressing your actual problem, then add another only if it is available and useful.
- Keep normal Windows playback on your usual device. If you want to hear unfiltered system audio, keep your actual headset or speakers as the Windows output instead of setting NVIDIA Broadcast Speakers as the default output.
Troubleshoot common setup problems
OBS does not show “Microphone (NVIDIA Broadcast)”
- Confirm Broadcast is installed and open, then check that the physical microphone is selected in its input settings.
- Check that the PC meets Broadcast’s current requirements, including a supported RTX-class GPU and Windows version.
- Close and reopen OBS after opening Broadcast, then check Settings > Audio > Mic/Auxiliary Audio again.
The OBS audio meter does not move
- Make sure the selected physical microphone is connected and selected as Broadcast’s input.
- Confirm OBS is set to Microphone (NVIDIA Broadcast), not a different or disconnected input.
- Check the OBS audio mixer for mute or volume settings that could prevent a visible signal.
The camera is missing or the preview is blank
- Verify the physical camera is selected in Broadcast and that another application is not preventing it from being used.
- Open the OBS Video Capture Source properties and select Camera (NVIDIA Broadcast) as the device.
- Check that the source is visible in the scene and not hidden behind another source.
Audio sounds over-processed or the PC struggles
- Disable duplicate noise-removal processing in OBS, the driver, or other software.
- Turn off effects you do not need. Multiple effects increase Broadcast’s GPU use, and not every combination is available.
Or let it run in the cloud
NVIDIA Broadcast and OBS are for processing and sending a live microphone or camera feed. If your goal instead is to keep uploaded videos playing as a 24/7 YouTube live stream, StreamNeo is a separate option: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. It does not stream a live camera feed.
