To multistream with Aitum, use its OBS Studio plugin to send your broadcast to multiple destinations, configure each destination’s output settings separately, then verify that your computer and internet connection can handle the outputs you’ve chosen. What Aitum Multistream does
Aitum Multistream is an OBS Studio plugin for sending one OBS broadcast to several streaming destinations. Aitum says each destination can have its own settings block, including a different bitrate. That lets you tailor outputs to the requirements of each receiving platform rather than assuming one setting suits every destination. These are Aitum’s product descriptions, not independent performance tests.
Aitum describes Multistream as free and as sending output from the creator’s own computer without a cloud relay. That means your computer and network remain part of the broadcast path.

Open the official release page. Check the latest release’s assets and its compatibility with your operating system and OBS Studio version before downloading. Release versions and requirements can change; the page currently surfaced version 1.0.8, but check the live page rather than relying on that number.

Use the installation instructions and file intended for your system. The available official repository information does not establish a universal, current click-by-click installation sequence for every operating system and OBS version, so do not rely on old screenshots or assume the same installer applies to all setups.

Configure destinations and their outputs
After installing a compatible release, open OBS and configure Aitum Multistream using the current controls available in your installation. Add the streaming destinations you intend to use, then set each destination’s output separately. Aitum’s product description establishes per-destination settings, but does not establish the exact current dialog labels or every click in the setup flow.
- Use each platform’s own requirements. Check the current streaming and ingest guidance from every service you plan to use. Resolution, bitrate, and other output requirements are destination-specific and may change.
- Choose settings for the intended broadcast. Decide the resolution and bitrate for each output based on that platform’s guidance and the quality you intend to deliver. There is no universal bitrate or resolution that can be recommended for every combination from the available information.
- Protect each destination’s stream key. Enter credentials only in the appropriate destination setup, keep them private, and follow the platform’s current instructions for issuing or replacing a key. Do not share screenshots that expose a key.
Check your computer and connection before going live
Because Aitum describes Multistream as operating from your own machine, OBS must produce the configured outputs locally and your connection must send them to the destinations. The demands depend on your chosen outputs and system; there is no established safe destination count, hardware threshold, or bandwidth formula that applies to everyone.

- Confirm OBS and the plugin open without errors after installation.
- Review the output settings for every destination, rather than checking only the first one.
- Check that the system remains stable while encoding the planned outputs and that the connection can sustain sending them.
- Before an important broadcast, do a private or otherwise low-risk configuration check where the platforms allow it. Confirm that each destination receives the intended feed and that audio and video are present.
Keep multistreaming separate from vertical-format streaming
Sending one OBS broadcast to multiple destinations is not the same task as producing horizontal and vertical versions of a broadcast. Twitch’s dual-format broadcasting instructions discuss OBS with Aitum Vertical for horizontal and vertical output. That is adjacent context: Aitum Vertical is not established as a requirement for ordinary multistreaming with Aitum Multistream.
Common problems and what to check
- The plugin does not appear in OBS: check that you downloaded a release asset intended for your operating system and that it is compatible with your OBS version. Consult the current release information rather than reusing an installer from an older tutorial.
- One destination does not receive the broadcast: verify that destination’s configuration and stream key against that platform’s current instructions, then confirm that its output is enabled and correctly set in Aitum.
- A destination rejects or struggles with the output: compare that destination’s configured resolution, bitrate, and other relevant settings with its current requirements. Do not assume another platform’s settings will also be accepted.
- OBS or the connection cannot sustain the outputs: reduce the demands of the configured outputs or simplify the setup, then check again under the conditions you expect during the broadcast. No single hardware or bandwidth prescription is established for all users.
