To make a vMix playlist restart automatically, open the Playlist window, add the inputs you want, check Loop, and start the playlist. If it stops between items, make sure Manual Mode is off. Looping repeats playback from the beginning; it does not schedule a broadcast for a particular time of day.
Set up an automatically looping vMix Playlist
- Open the Playlist window: click the cog button beside Playlist.
- Add inputs: under Available Inputs, select the inputs to include and click the > arrow to move them into Playlist.
- Enable looping: check Loop. The vMix 28 User Guide defines this control as starting the playlist from the beginning again when it completes: vMix 28 User Guide.
- Start playback: click Start in the window, or click Playlist to start or stop the configured playlist.
Make sure the playlist advances between inputs
If playback waits at the end of an item instead of moving on, check Manual Mode. When Manual Mode is on, the playlist does not advance automatically; you must click Next. Turn it off for automatic progression.
Choose Playlist or List for a media sequence
Use Playlist when you want to sequence multiple vMix inputs and their transitions. Use a List input when the sequence is mainly a set of video or audio files to play as one input. A List does not require every video to be loaded at once, which can conserve system resources. The vMix documentation describes List controls and its use within a standard Playlist for more advanced playback: vMix User Guide: List.

Know what looping does—and does not do
Loop repeats the playlist from its beginning after it completes. It is continuous playback, not a schedule that starts or changes programming at set times. vMix support says the software is primarily designed for live-streaming single events and does not support time-of-day scheduling for 24/7 television programming. The support page describes Playlist as suitable for playing inputs back-to-back on a constant loop and List as a single input that can play videos back-to-back in a loop: Does vMix support scheduling?.

That support page also mentions the third-party vMix Scheduler project, but says it is no longer maintained, may not work with current versions, and is unsupported by vMix. Treat it as unverified rather than as a dependable scheduling solution.
Keep the playlist with its vMix preset
A Playlist is linked to the currently active preset and can only be loaded alongside the preset in which it was created. Keep the associated preset with the playlist when moving or reusing the setup.
