Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEFix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →To make a 24/7 rain stream look smooth, fix the seam in the video editor before you stream. Match the rain’s movement and density at the clip’s end and beginning, edit the audio seam separately, then replay a short proof repeatedly. OBS’s Loop setting repeats a file; it cannot repair a visible jump or an audio click.
Match the picture at the loop point
Choose the outgoing and opening frames by how the scene moves, not just by whether they show similar scenery. Rain, branches, reflections, and camera movement should appear to continue naturally across the join.
- Look for a point where rain density, brightness, direction, and background movement are similar at both ends.
- Avoid joining on a lightning flash, a passing object, or a noticeable change in camera motion.
- If the footage supports it, overlap the end with the opening and add a restrained cross-dissolve.
- Shorten the dissolve or use a tighter match if the blend makes rain or branches appear doubled. A transition is not automatically smoother just because it is longer.
For footage you record yourself, keep the original recordings and editing project. That gives you room to adjust the seam without repeatedly recompressing an exported master. A smartphone tripod is an optional aid for capturing steadier ambience footage; headphones can help you inspect the sound.
Edit the rain audio as a separate loop
Do not assume the audio will sound seamless because the picture does. Put the ending audio under the beginning on separate tracks, then use complementary fades to make the handoff gradual. Listen for a click, sudden swell, or dip.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
The sound does not have to restart at the same instant as the picture. A longer, steady rain recording can give you more room to find a quiet, natural audio join.
Render and inspect a short proof
- Export a short proof containing the join before rendering the long master.
- Replay the seam at least ten times without watching the editing timeline. Repetition can make a brief discontinuity easier to notice.
- Listen with headphones, a phone speaker, and at very low volume. Check for clicks and changes in loudness.
- Watch for shifts in rain density, brightness, camera shake, rain direction, or background objects.
- Adjust the cut or fades and repeat the check until the restart does not call attention to itself.
Set OBS to repeat the finished file
Once the media itself loops cleanly, OBS can repeat it during the broadcast. Add the exported clip as a Media Source and enable Loop. OBS documents that this restarts the file when playback completes. If you want to repeat a playlist instead, a VLC Video source can loop one. These playback settings repeat media; they do not edit away a bad seam. Test the stream before relying on it for a long broadcast.

Check footage rights and YouTube monetization separately
Confirm you can broadcast the material
If you use stock footage or sound, check the specific license for commercial use, modification, livestream or broadcast use, repeated looping, and any limits on making the clip the main value of your work. YouTube’s live-stream terms place responsibility on the content provider to have the necessary rights for live content. Read YouTube’s live-stream terms.
Do not assume a rain loop qualifies for monetization
YouTube’s monetization policy applies to live streams. Its guidance expects original, authentic content and says repetitive or mass-produced material without meaningful creative, educational, or other value may not qualify. Whether a particular rain loop or channel qualifies is not established in advance; make the program’s originality and viewer value clear, and do not treat monetization as guaranteed. Review YouTube’s monetization policies.

Choose where the stream runs
Local OBS workflow
With OBS, your computer and connection handle playback and streaming, and you configure the loop in the Media Source. This gives you direct control over the broadcast setup, but the computer must remain available while you stream.
Cloud workflow
For a hosted prepared-media workflow, Looping Stream describes uploading media, arranging a playlist, and broadcasting without keeping the creator’s computer running. That is a vendor description, not an independent uptime guarantee. See Looping Stream’s service description.
