The Fandango Apple Pay promotion is legitimate, but it does not run on Tuesday, August 18, 2026. Fandango’s published schedule lists Wednesday, August 19 as the final participating date. On that Wednesday, enter APPLEPAYWED at Fandango checkout and pay with Apple Pay to receive $5 off the entire movie-ticket purchase, while redemption supplies last.

Fandango’s dedicated promotion page lists participating Wednesdays from June 17 through August 19, 2026. It describes the offer as applying to movie tickets for any film, subject to Fandango’s participating-theater availability and the offer terms.

How to redeem the $5 discount
- Open Fandango.com or the Fandango iOS app.
- Choose the movie, theater, date, showtime and ticket quantity.
- Continue to checkout and find the Promo Code field.
- Enter
APPLEPAYWEDexactly, then select Apply. - Choose Apple Pay as the payment method.
- Check that the order total shows the $5 reduction before completing payment.
Apple Pay must appear as an available payment option on your device and browser or in the iOS app. Availability can vary, so do not assume that every setup will display it.
What the $5 saving covers
Fandango describes the promotion as $5 off the entire purchase, not $5 off each ticket. A four-ticket order should therefore not be treated as a guaranteed $20 discount. Premium-format charges, convenience fees, taxes and other costs may still affect the final total; inspect checkout rather than assuming every charge is reduced.

Why the code may not work
- Wrong day: Tuesday, August 18 is not a scheduled promotion day. The final listed opportunity is Wednesday, August 19.
- Unsupported route: The offer is for Fandango.com or the Fandango iOS app, not a theater’s own box office.
- Missing or mistyped code: Enter
APPLEPAYWEDwithout spaces and apply it before payment. - Wrong payment method: Select Apple Pay after applying the code.
- Redemption limit reached: Fandango says quantities are limited and available while supplies last, so the code can stop working even on August 19.
- Conflicting promotion: Remove other codes or discounts if checkout rejects multiple offers. Fandango’s broader rules are in its promo-code policy.
Do not complete the order until the expected discount is visible. The promotion page does not establish special refund treatment, so ordinary Fandango ticket-change and refund rules should be checked for any later cancellation.
Is it worth using?
The offer is most useful when Apple Pay is available, you can purchase on August 19, and Fandango’s final total is competitive with the theater’s direct price. Compare the complete totals, including fees and premium-format charges, before deciding.

For repeat Fandango customers
Fandango FanRewards is a separate free program. Fandango says qualifying ticket purchases earn 125 points, with a $5 reward issued at 500 points. That is a future reward, not an immediate discount on this order.
For frequent buyers
Fandango FanClub advertises membership benefits such as waived fees. Fandango’s offers page lists a $9.99-per-month-plus-tax price in connection with a separate promotion and a separate $49.99 four-month Summer Movie Pass offer. Those products may suit frequent users, but they are not a one-time replacement for this $5 promotion.
