- Story: A recently widowed child psychologist suspects that a new young patient is connected to his past.
- Genre and cast: Psychological thriller created by Sarah Thorp, starring Billy Crystal, Judith Light and Rosie Perez.
- Why watch: Crystal takes on a serious dramatic role in a supernatural-tinged mystery designed for viewers who prefer a season-long puzzle.

Crave
I Saw the TV Glow — October 24
- Format: Feature film, 1 hour 40 minutes.
- Story: A teenager’s attachment to a mysterious late-night television program destabilizes his identity and sense of reality.
- Genre and cast: Psychological horror drama written and directed by Jane Schoenbrun, starring Justice Smith and Brigette Lundy-Paine.
- Why watch: Its dreamlike ambiguity and identity themes suit adventurous arthouse-horror viewers more than audiences seeking conventional jump scares.
Humane — October 25
- Format: Feature film, 1 hour 34 minutes.
- Story: In an environmentally collapsing world, governments demand a forced 20-percent reduction in humanity, throwing a wealthy family into crisis.
- Canadian connection: Toronto filmmaker Caitlin Cronenberg makes her feature directorial debut. The film stars Canadian performers Jay Baruchel, Emily Hampshire and Enrico Colantoni and was filmed in Hamilton, Ontario.
- Why watch: It is the week’s clearest Canadian-content hook, combining domestic production connections with an intense family thriller.
Trap — October 25
- Format: Feature film, 1 hour 45 minutes.
- Story: A serial killer attending a pop star’s concert with his daughter discovers that police have sealed off the venue.
- Genre and cast: Written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan; starring Josh Hartnett, Ariel Donoghue, Saleka Shyamalan and Canadian actor Alison Pill.
- Canadian connection: Much of the production used Hamilton’s FirstOntario Centre, with exterior shots at Toronto’s Rogers Centre.
- Why watch: Of Crave’s selections, this is the most immediately accessible, high-concept thriller.
All three films are scheduled for Crave in Canada. Check Crave’s current plans and catalogue for subscription, advertising and cancellation terms; those details can change.

- Format: Three documentary episodes of about one hour each.
- Story: A family searching for answers about the Zodiac murders presents clues and testimony connected to the notorious case.

Don’t Move — October 25

- Story: A grieving woman is injected with a paralytic agent by a killer and must survive as her body gradually shuts down.
- Genre and cast: Horror-thriller directed by Adam Schindler and Brian Netto, starring Kelsey Asbille and Finn Wittrock.
- Why watch: The shrinking window of physical movement makes the survival premise instantly understandable and unusually time-sensitive.
These titles require a Canadian Netflix subscription. Verify current plans and household rules at Netflix Canada.
Prime Video
Like a Dragon: Yakuza — October 24
- Format: Six episodes of approximately one hour each. Episodes one through three arrive October 24; episodes four through six arrive November 1.

- Source and cast: Adapted from Sega’s Like a Dragon video-game franchise; created by Sean Crouch and Yugo Nakamura; starring Ryoma Takeuchi, Kento Kaku, Munetaka Aoki and Yuumi Kawai.
- Why watch: The appeal is the recognizable game world translated into live-action crime drama.
Only the first half is available during October 21–27, so this is not a complete-season drop. The series is part of the included Prime Video catalogue for Prime members, rather than a separate rental or purchase; confirm current Canadian membership terms at Prime Video.
