Yes—Crunchyroll made Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba and Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train available to subscribers in October 2021, with dubbed and subtitled versions reported. That is a historical availability announcement, not a new August 2026 launch. Crunchyroll’s later announcements continued to describe the series and film as available in sub and dub formats, but the current catalog, audio tracks and plan access can vary by country.
What Crunchyroll added
The October 2021 announcement covered two connected releases:
![Demon Slayer (Kimetsu no Yaiba): Mugen Train Arc [Blu-ray]](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51HHzDMH7YL._SL160_.jpg)
- Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, the main television anime.
- Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train, the feature-film continuation of Season 1.
AnimeMojo reported the titles as newly streaming for Crunchyroll subscribers on October 4, 2021 (AnimeMojo). Epicstream reported the movie’s Crunchyroll availability on October 5, 2021 (Epicstream).
The release should not be confused with Demon Slayer: Mugen Train Arc, the seven-episode television adaptation of the film’s principal story, or with the later Entertainment District, Swordsmith Village and Hashira Training arcs. Crunchyroll’s 2025 announcement also distinguishes the existing movie and arc from five recap-style television specials (Crunchyroll, April 6, 2025).

- Tanjiro Kamado, joined with Inosuke Hashibira, a boy raised by boars who wears a boar's head, and Zenitsu Agatsuma, a scared boy who reveals his true power when he sleeps, board the Infinity Train on a new mission with the Fire Pillar, Kyojuro Rengoku, to defeat a demon who has been tormenting the people and killing the demon slayers who oppose it!
Is the English dub included?
Contemporary coverage described both the television anime and Mugen Train movie as available in dubbed and subtitled formats. The reported language lineup included English, Spanish and Portuguese in some English-speaking markets, while Latin American availability differed (Epicstream).
That does not mean every country receives every dub. Streaming rights and individual audio and subtitle tracks are territory-specific. Crunchyroll’s 2025 announcements continued to refer to the series and movie in both sub and dub formats, but they do not replace a check of the live title page (Crunchyroll, March 12, 2025).
How to verify English audio
- Sign in to Crunchyroll and search the full title Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.
- Open the separate movie listing for Mugen Train or the separate Mugen Train Arc listing.
- Open the player’s audio or language selector and choose English if it is offered.
- Check that the title is included with your plan; appearing in search results does not by itself confirm access.
Movie or Mugen Train Arc?
Both versions adapt the same principal story, so a first-time viewer normally needs only one. The television version uses an episodic structure and includes additional introductory material; the movie preserves the original feature-film presentation.
| Version | Format | Best for | What to know |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mugen Train movie | Feature film | A single cinematic session | The original theatrical presentation |
| Mugen Train Arc | Seven TV episodes | Viewers who prefer installments | Television-format pacing and additional introductory material |
The distinction between the film and episodic adaptation was also noted in contemporary coverage (The Cheat Sheet). Watching both immediately is optional rather than required.

Where the movie fits in the watch order
- Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 1
- Mugen Train movie or Mugen Train Arc
- Entertainment District Arc
- Swordsmith Village Arc
- Hashira Training Arc
- The later Infinity Castle theatrical films, where available
In the film, Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu and Inosuke board the Mugen Train and work with Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku after a series of disappearances. Manipulated dreams and a powerful demon threat turn the mission into a major battle (Crunchyroll’s synopsis).

- The disk has English audio and subtitles.
A recurring subscription is a practical choice for viewers who also want Crunchyroll’s wider anime catalog. Someone interested only in Mugen Train may prefer a legal digital rental, purchase or physical edition if one is offered locally; those options and prices vary by market.
If the title or dub does not appear
- Search the full title instead of only “Mugen Train.”
- Check both the movie and the television-arc listings; they are separate entries.
- Use the player’s audio menu rather than assuming the default Japanese track is the only option.
- Confirm your country and that profile age restrictions are not hiding the title.
- Sign in before checking availability and confirm that your plan includes the program.
- If it remains unavailable, the catalog may not cover your territory; consult locally licensed digital or physical retailers rather than relying on an announcement from another country.
What the announcement means today
Demon Slayer and Mugen Train genuinely arrived on Crunchyroll in October 2021, and Crunchyroll still described them as available in sub and dub formats in 2025. Those statements identify a real service offering, not proof of universal access on August 16, 2026. Catalogs, language tracks and subscription requirements can change, so check the listing in your country immediately before watching or signing up.
