Why does Prime Video show September 30 in some places?
Some localized Prime Video pages display episode 5 as September 30, 2025, while U.S.-focused listings use October 1. That is a local time-zone and date-line difference around the midnight Pacific launch, combined with account and storefront localization. It does not indicate two separate U.S. premiere dates. Your account country, app language, device settings and the page you open can all affect the displayed date.
Season 2 release schedule
The first three episodes arrived together, followed by weekly Wednesday releases. Amazon’s official viewing guide confirms that pattern and the eight-episode season; see About Amazon.

If episode 5 is missing from your Prime Video app
Availability can be affected by account region, device locale or a stale app page. Try these checks:
- Close and reopen the Prime Video app, then refresh the season 2 page.
- Search Prime Video for the exact title, “The Kids Are Not All Right,” instead of relying only on the home screen.
- Open the season page directly in a web browser and select episode 5.
- Confirm that you are signed in to the intended Prime Video account and that its country is one where Gen V is offered.
- If the date still looks different, compare the listing with your local time zone; a September 30 display can be the localized equivalent of the U.S. October 1 launch.
Spoiler-free context
Episode 5 is the season’s midpoint. It follows the three-episode premiere on September 17 and the subsequent weekly Wednesday schedule.
