Nicole Eggert said in a February 2024 Inside Edition interview that doctors had found additional cancer in her lymph nodes after diagnosing her with stage-two invasive cribriform breast carcinoma. The disclosure described what she was told at that time; it does not, by itself, establish her current condition or prognosis.
What Nicole Eggert said about her lymph nodes
Inside Edition reported on February 1, 2024, that Eggert had been told cancer was also present in her lymph nodes. She described the news as “It’s horrible, it’s horrible.” Entertainment Tonight summarized the same interview on February 2, 2024.
The lymph-node finding followed a diagnosis of stage-two invasive cribriform carcinoma, according to the contemporaneous coverage. The reports attribute the diagnosis and lymph-node information to Eggert’s account and the interview; they do not provide a full pathology report or an independent medical assessment.
What she described about finding the breast cancer
Symptoms and the lump
Eggert told Inside Edition, “I started noticing really rapid weight gain and fatigue.” She also described breast pain and finding a large lump herself.

Implant-related scar tissue
Eggert said scar tissue related to breast implants made the lump harder for her to notice. That is her personal explanation for delayed awareness, not a general statement about how implants affect cancer detection.
Difficulty getting a mammogram appointment
Entertainment Tonight also reported Eggert’s account that she had difficulty obtaining a mammogram appointment. The coverage does not establish why an appointment was delayed or draw a medical conclusion from that experience.
Timeline of the reports
| Date | What was reported |
|---|---|
| February 1, 2024 | Inside Edition reported Eggert’s stage-two invasive cribriform carcinoma diagnosis, symptoms, large lump and statement that doctors found more cancer in her lymph nodes. |
| February 2, 2024 | Entertainment Tonight independently summarized the interview, including the lymph-node disclosure and her account of seeking a mammogram. |
| August 29, 2025 | The Daily Beast reported that Eggert had undergone a mastectomy with reconstruction and referred back to her earlier lymph-node disclosure. |
| March 20, 2026 | Fox News reported that Eggert said she had undergone a full hysterectomy after tests showed early signs of more cancer. That description came from her social-media post as characterized by the outlet. |
| April 29, 2026 | Extra quoted Eggert saying she was doing well and that recent pathology reports were clear. |
What later reports said about her health
Mastectomy and reconstruction
In August 2025, The Daily Beast reported that Eggert had undergone a mastectomy with reconstruction. That report looked back to the 2024 disclosure; it did not revise the original account of cancer found in her lymph nodes.
Hysterectomy report in 2026
On March 20, 2026, Fox News reported Eggert had undergone a full hysterectomy after she said tests showed early signs of more cancer. The report reflects Eggert’s characterization of those test results and does not establish a new breast-cancer stage, recurrence, or prognosis.

Clear pathology reported in April 2026
Extra reported on April 29, 2026, that Eggert said recent pathology reports were clear. She told the outlet, “I’m doing really well. I feel really good.” She also described scan anxiety: “Right now, it’s just really loud music and deep breathing. They call it scan anxiety. It’s a real thing.” Those remarks are her update at that interview, not confirmation of her medical status on September 30, 2026.

- It establishes that Eggert publicly described a lymph-node cancer finding in a February 2024 interview.
- It does not provide enough information to determine the number of affected nodes, whether cancer had spread beyond them, her treatment plan, or her prognosis.
- The 2026 reports about concerning test results and later clear pathology are separate, later developments and should not be treated as the same finding.
- Dated entertainment and celebrity-news reports cannot establish Eggert’s current medical status without a newer, attributable update.
Why the date matters
The headline refers specifically to Eggert’s February 2024 disclosure. Later surgery reports and her April 2026 comments add context, but they do not turn the original lymph-node statement into a current 2026 diagnosis. Readers should rely on Eggert’s direct updates and qualified reporting for any subsequent change.
