If the ceremony made you want to explore the story beyond the anime, Solo Leveling manhwa Vol. 1 is the English print starting point for the original comic by Chugong, illustrated by DUBU. It is source material—not a book containing the anime episodes—and its availability and price should be checked at the time of purchase.

What the 2025 results say about the ceremony
Solo Leveling dominated both the headline and genre awards
Solo Leveling won Anime of the Year and Best New Anime Series, making it the ceremony’s leading overall title. It also won Best Action Anime, Best Main Character for Sung Jinwoo, Best Score for Hiroyuki Sawano, and Best Anime Ending Sequence for “request” by krage.
The series’ reach was not limited to the main competitive categories. Sung Jinwoo’s performances won in English, Brazilian Portuguese, and Castilian Spanish. Taken together, those results show recognition for the show’s central character, action appeal, music, and international voice work—not simply one isolated top prize.
Frieren led the craft-focused field
Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End won Best Director for Keiichiro Saito, Best Background Art, Best Drama Anime, and Best Supporting Character for Fern. Its wins form a notably different profile from Solo Leveling’s action-oriented sweep: directing, visual atmosphere, dramatic storytelling, and supporting-character writing were the center of its recognition.

DAN DA DAN connected design and music
DAN DA DAN won Best Character Design, while “Otonoke” by Creepy Nuts won both Best Anime Song and Best Anime Opening Sequence. The double music win gives the song recognition as both a standalone anime track and part of the show’s opening presentation.
Look Back won Film of the Year
Look Back, produced by Studio Durian, took Film of the Year. It also produced a voice-performance winner: Ilaria Pellicone was recognized in the Italian category for voicing Kyomoto.

Global Impact Award: why it is listed separately
Attack on Titan received the Global Impact Award. This is a distinct recognition rather than one of the standard competitive genre or craft categories. It should therefore not be counted in the same way as a win for Best Action Anime, Best Drama Anime, or another regular category.

The franchise also appeared in the voice awards, with Miguel Ángel Leal winning Best Voice Artist Performance — Latin Spanish for Eren Jaeger in Attack on Titan Final Season THE FINAL CHAPTERS Special 2. That performance honor is separate from the franchise-level Global Impact Award.
