Taylor Sheridan’s television empire is not slowing down after Yellowstone; it is becoming a portfolio. What arrived in 2025
1923 Season 2: the Dutton origin story reaches its conclusion
The second and final season of 1923 premiered exclusively on Paramount+ on February 23, 2025, and ended on April 6. Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren returned as Jacob and Cara Dutton, while the story followed Spencer’s attempt to get home as the family faced winter, enemies, and threats to the ranch’s future.
This was not a new branch of Sheridan’s television portfolio so much as the completion of one of its most important roots. 1923 sits between 1883 and Yellowstone in the Dutton chronology, extending the franchise through a different generation rather than simply repeating the flagship show’s present-day conflict.
Paramount reported that the Season 2 finale reached 14 million global viewers in its first seven days and that the full-season average was 1.5 times the average for Season 1. Those are Paramount-reported internal or industry measurements, not independently audited cross-platform ratings, so they are best treated as evidence of the company’s reported performance rather than a universal streaming ranking.
Tulsa King Season 3: an established crime series becomes a launchpad
Sylvester Stallone’s Dwight Manfredi returned for Season 3 on September 21, 2025. Sheridan is an executive producer on the series, which is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios.
The season is important to the broader slate because it introduced Samuel L. Jackson’s Russell Lee Washington Jr. That character provides the connection to Frisco King, showing how an existing series can function as a testing ground for another franchise rather than ending as a self-contained property. Paramount+ renewed Tulsa King for Season 4 before Season 3 premiered, although no official 2026 premiere date was found in the reviewed sources.
The Road: Sheridan’s move into unscripted television
The Road premiered on CBS on October 19, 2025, with episodes also streaming on Paramount+. It follows 12 emerging musicians competing to become opening acts on Keith Urban’s tour. Audiences at the venues, along with the program’s country-music advisers, determine which performers advance.
Taylor Sheridan is an executive producer alongside Blake Shelton, David Glasser, Lee Metzger, and Keith Urban. That credit makes the show part of his expanding production brand, but it should not be described as a Sheridan-created scripted series. Mayor of Kingstown Season 4: another returning power system
The fourth season of Mayor of Kingstown premiered on Paramount+ on October 26, 2025. Jeremy Renner returned as Mike McLusky, with Edie Falco joining the season’s central cast. Sheridan co-created the series with Hugh Dillon.

The McLusky family remains the informal power broker in a Michigan town dominated by prisons. Season 4 begins with a power vacuum, gang conflict, and a new warden, keeping the show focused on the unstable relationship among incarcerated people, law enforcement, politicians, and the people who profit from the prison system.
Paramount+ has renewed the series for a fifth and final season. No official Season 5 premiere date was located in the reviewed sources, so it belongs in the renewal pipeline rather than on a dated 2026 release calendar.

Landman Season 2: the oil-field drama becomes a major streaming asset
The second season of Landman, Sheridan’s oil-industry drama with Christian Wallace, premiered on Paramount+ on November 16, 2025. Billy Bob Thornton leads the cast, with Demi Moore, Andy Garcia, Sam Elliott, and Ali Larter also featured.
The series uses the West Texas oil business to examine labor, wealth, energy politics, family pressure, and the hazards built into the industry. It also illustrates why Sheridan’s model is broader than the Yellowstone brand: the show is not a Dutton story, yet it fits the same interest in regional power, dangerous work, inherited privilege, and institutions under stress.
Paramount’s 2026 investor materials said Season 2 reached more than 25 million subscriber households and ranked among the top-viewed series across streaming after its November 2025 launch. Because that information comes from a corporate filing, it should be read as a Paramount-reported performance claim, not as an independently verified Nielsen ranking. The same materials identify Landman Season 3 as part of the upcoming slate, but no premiere date was confirmed.
What arrived or was scheduled in 2026
Marshals: Kayce Dutton enters a CBS procedural
Originally announced under the working title Y: Marshals, Marshals premiered on CBS on March 1, 2026, with Paramount+ identifying it as a CBS Original. Luke Grimes returns as Kayce Dutton, who leaves the Yellowstone Ranch storyline behind for an elite U.S. Marshals unit in Montana.
The premise combines Kayce’s cowboy instincts and Navy SEAL background with the case-of-the-week structure associated with a network procedural. It is therefore both a continuation of the Dutton universe and a format change. Taylor Sheridan is an executive producer, while Spencer Hudnut is the showrunner. Calling it a Sheridan-produced or Sheridan-universe series is more precise than calling it a Sheridan-created show.
Paramount+ has renewed Marshals for Season 2, and Paramount Press Express listed production as beginning in June 2026. No Season 2 premiere date was announced in the reviewed sources.
The Madison: the clearest new original in the period
The Madison is the strongest example of Sheridan launching a new dramatic property rather than extending an existing character or franchise. Created and written by Sheridan, the six-episode Paramount+ drama stars Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell as members of the Clyburn family, who face grief, family strain, and relocation to Montana’s Madison River valley.
The first three episodes arrived on March 14, 2026, followed by the remaining three on March 21. That release pattern gave viewers a substantial opening batch without making the entire season available at once.

Paramount later reported that The Madison became the biggest first-season launch of any Taylor Sheridan series, with 8 million global views in its first 10 days. The figure uses Paramount’s reporting and Luminate-related measurement, so it should be attributed to Paramount rather than presented as an independently audited industry total.
Its importance goes beyond the launch number. The Madison demonstrates that Sheridan’s operation is not dependent only on the continuation of Yellowstone, Tulsa King, or another established title. It adds a new family, setting, and dramatic premise while the older properties continue in parallel.
Dutton Ranch: Beth and Rip start again in Texas
Dutton Ranch premiered on Paramount+ on May 15, 2026, with episodes also airing on Paramount Network. The nine-episode first season follows Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler, played by Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser, after they leave Montana and try to build a new life on a 7,000-acre ranch in South Texas.
The show is unmistakably a Yellowstone-universe extension, but its credits show why franchise ownership and direct authorship should not be treated as the same thing. Chad Feehan is identified as the Season 1 creator and showrunner, while Sheridan is an executive producer. The series is therefore a major Sheridan-backed Dutton continuation without being described as a Sheridan-created show.
Paramount+ renewed Dutton Ranch for Season 2 on June 24, 2026. A premiere date remains to be announced.
Lioness Season 3: Sheridan’s most direct returning vehicle
Season 3 of Lioness premiered exclusively on Paramount+ on August 2, 2026. The eight-episode season was scheduled for weekly Sunday releases through September 20. Zoe Saldaña, Nicole Kidman, Morgan Freeman, and Michael Kelly are among the returning or featured performers.
The official premise puts Joe under pressure as hidden networks, foreign operatives, and personal betrayals bring her covert work closer to her family. Unlike Marshals and Dutton Ranch, Lioness is explicitly identified as Sheridan-created and Sheridan-written, making it one of the clearest examples of his direct creative involvement in this period.
Lioness also reinforces the range of the portfolio. The series is a military and espionage thriller rather than a Western, crime drama, or family saga, yet it remains connected to Sheridan’s recurring interest in institutions, loyalty, violence, and the personal cost of systems built around force.
Confirmed projects without a premiere date
Frisco King: the Tulsa King spinoff that changed names and cities
Frisco King is the retitled and relocated version of the previously announced NOLA King. It should be counted once, not as two separate Sheridan series.
Samuel L. Jackson stars as Russell Lee Washington Jr., the character introduced in Tulsa King Season 3. The premise follows him after he refuses an order to kill Dwight Manfredi and attempts to establish a new life and criminal enterprise in Frisco, Texas. Paramount+ says Sheridan will write all eight episodes of the first season. Christina Alexandra Voros and Michael Friedman are set to direct multiple episodes, and production was scheduled to begin in Fort Worth in March 2026.

No premiere date was announced in the official sources reviewed. That makes Frisco King a confirmed project in production, not a confirmed 2026 release. Its importance is structural: Sheridan’s portfolio is now using supporting characters to generate new branches, much as the Dutton universe uses different generations and locations to expand beyond the original series.
