Brandi Passante did not disappear from Storage Wars after Season 16. A&E promoted her return for Season 16, which premiered June 7, 2025, and she appeared again in Season 17 when episodes began airing February 28, 2026. Outside the show, she described a shift away from physical stores toward online resale, storage-unit and garage inventory, and a more flexible work life.
Brandi Passante did not leave Storage Wars after Season 16
Brandi Passante remained part of the Storage Wars franchise after Season 16. Season 16 premiered on June 7, 2025, with A&E promoting Passante as one of the returning buyers. She then appeared in Season 17, whose episodes began airing on February 28, 2026. A&E’s current series material continues to list her among the show’s buyers. [c001][c002][c003]
So the short answer is that Season 16 was not a farewell. Passante continued appearing on the program while also focusing on a more flexible, primarily online resale business rather than returning to the brick-and-mortar store model associated with her earlier career.
What Passante was doing after Season 16
In an A&E interview published in May 2025 around the Season 16 return, Passante explained that she no longer operated her former physical stores. The stores had involved substantial overhead, and running them became difficult while she was filming Storage Wars and raising young children. [c001]
Her replacement model was smaller and more flexible. She described:
- selling items primarily online;
- keeping inventory in a storage unit and garage;
- categorizing and sorting items for resale; and
- occasionally taking part in swap meets.
That description is important because it distinguishes Passante’s current work from the image of a large retail operation. The available reporting supports describing her as an active, online-centered reseller with storage and garage inventory—not as the operator of the same storefronts seen during the earlier part of her career.
She returned for Storage Wars Season 17
A&E’s official Season 17 episode material identifies Passante in the new season, and a February 2026 TV Insider interview also discusses her return. The interview covers the show’s changing cast dynamics, auction strategy, and her life outside the series. [c002][c003]
This makes the timeline clear:
| Period | What the available evidence shows |
|---|---|
| Season 16 | Premiere on June 7, 2025; Passante was promoted as a returning buyer. |
| After Season 16 | She remained active in online resale and continued to be associated with the franchise. |
| Season 17 | Episodes began airing February 28, 2026, with Passante returning to the show. |
There is therefore no reliable basis for saying that she retired, permanently quit Storage Wars, or disappeared from the storage-auction business after Season 16.

Passante’s account also gives a more realistic picture of what happens after a storage-unit purchase. Finding potentially valuable goods is only the beginning. The buyer still has to lift, clean, sort, categorize, store, photograph, list, sell, and dispose of unwanted items.
She described the process as heavy, dirty, and demanding. In practical terms, a resale operation needs a way to separate inventory, protect usable goods, and decide which items are worth the time and cost of listing. Readers considering this kind of work should treat it as a labor-and-logistics business, not effortless television treasure hunting.

For anyone trying the cleanout side of the work, storage auction work gloves are a practical starting point: gloves can help when handling dusty boxes, rough furniture, damaged packaging, or unknown contents. They do not eliminate the need for caution—sharp objects, mold, pests, chemicals, and structural hazards require appropriate handling or professional help.
A basic sorting system can also prevent inventory from becoming unmanageable. Passante said she categorized items and maintained stock in storage and garage spaces. Simple inventory labels for resale, permanent markers, and clearly assigned storage bins can help record where an item came from, its condition, asking price, and listing status. None of these supplies guarantees profit; they simply address the organizational problem created by buying more goods than can be immediately processed.
She continued independently after Jarrod Schulz
Passante and Jarrod Schulz were once closely associated with Storage Wars as a couple and appeared together in the spin-off Brandi & Jarrod: Married to the Job. Later reporting places their split in 2018, before Passante’s solo-era appearances on the main series. [c004][c005]
That means current coverage should describe Passante as continuing on Storage Wars independently. Older A&E cast descriptions may still use former husband-and-wife branding because they refer to an earlier period of the franchise; that wording should not be mistaken for a current relationship status.
There has been public reporting about personal and legal fallout involving Schulz, but those matters are separate from the answer to what Passante did after Season 16. They should not be presented as current fact without distinguishing allegations, court records, and confirmed statements.
Her children are adults now
Passante also offered context about how her family responsibilities had changed. In the May 2025 A&E interview, she said her son was about to turn 22 and her daughter would turn 20 in June. She explained that both children had moved beyond the most intensive years of school and activities. [c001]

Other business and media projects
Passante has also pursued business ventures, podcasting, and other activities outside the main series, according to the 2026 TV Insider interview. Can viewers try storage-unit auctions themselves?
Yes, storage-unit auctions exist outside television, including online listings. But the real process comes with risks that an edited episode cannot fully show. Buyers may face bidding costs, travel or platform fees, tight cleanout deadlines, transportation expenses, disposal charges, and goods that are damaged, incomplete, unsanitary, or difficult to resell.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsAnyone researching online storage auctions should read the auction provider’s terms before bidding and confirm:
- the complete payment deadline and accepted payment methods;
- the time allowed to remove every item from the unit;
- buyer’s-premium, service, or other applicable fees;
- whether the unit can be inspected before bidding;
- what happens to photographs, personal documents, hazardous materials, and trash; and
- how much transport, cleaning, storage, and disposal will cost.
After buying, a resale marketplace for used items can provide a route to list suitable goods online. The sensible calculation is expected sale price minus fees, shipping, cleaning, repairs, storage, transport, and the value of the buyer’s time. Television highlights the occasional valuable discovery; a real business has to survive the ordinary units that produce little or no profit.
