Jan Schwieterman’s role in Good Burger
Schwieterman played Kurt Bozwell, the manager and owner of Mondo Burger, the large rival chain threatening the neighborhood restaurant at the center of Good Burger. Released in 1997, the Paramount comedy starred Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell as fast-food workers trying to protect the independently operated Good Burger.

As Kurt, Schwieterman served as the film’s principal adult antagonist. His character’s oversized Mondo Burger operation provided the central business rivalry and helped give the movie its broad, cartoonish conflict. The role became Schwieterman’s most widely remembered screen appearance, particularly among viewers who grew up with the 1990s youth comedy.
His acting career
Schwieterman moved to California soon after high school to pursue acting. In addition to Good Burger, his official obituary cited appearances in McKenna, ER, and Along the Way.

Schwieterman’s public legacy is especially associated with the distinctive supporting role he created in Good Burger, rather than with a long-running mainstream television or film career.
Remembered for interests beyond acting
The family obituary described Schwieterman as an Eagle Scout and remembered his interests in travel, photography, painting, martial arts, and Dungeons & Dragons. The account presented a fuller picture of him beyond the role that made him familiar to film audiences.
