Watch Reba McEntire’s Super Bowl LVIII performance
The official NFL video presents McEntire performing the national anthem with Daniel Durant before kickoff of Super Bowl LVIII. The game took place at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada, in the Las Vegas area, where the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers.
The NFL video is the best primary source for the performance itself. It is a clip of the anthem appearance, not a complete replay of the entire Super Bowl pregame ceremony.
McEntire also shared a short reflection clip on her verified YouTube channel in February 2025, but that later social-media post is supplementary; the NFL’s original event video is the more direct place to watch the performance.

What happened during the performance?
McEntire sang “The Star-Spangled Banner” as part of the pregame ceremony. She was backed by the Joint Armed Forces Color Guard and members of the United States Navy Band, including Navy Band drummers, according to the Recording Academy’s account of the performance.
The rendition lasted about 1 minute and 35 seconds, according to Associated Press coverage reported by Us Weekly. “About” is important here: that timing comes from news coverage rather than an official NFL runtime specification. The NFL’s video index lists the official clip at approximately 2 minutes and 18 seconds, which includes more than the singing itself.
Daniel Durant’s role
Daniel Durant performed the anthem in American Sign Language alongside McEntire. He should be described as an American Sign Language performer, not as a singer. The NFL identifies both Durant and McEntire in the title and description of its official video.

Why the booking was especially meaningful for Reba McEntire
The Super Bowl appearance echoed a formative moment in McEntire’s career. Her official website says she was discovered in 1974 at the National Finals Rodeo in Oklahoma after singing the national anthem.
That meant the 2024 Super Bowl performance came roughly 50 years after an anthem performance associated with the beginning of her professional career. Time framed the booking as part of a 50-year journey and reported McEntire describing the opportunity as “fun and super epic.”
