The better way to choose is to compare the platform experience: pricing, phone/chat/video options, privacy, advisor boundaries, moderation, and what happens if the session is poor or billing goes wrong.
For most first-time customers, Psychic Source is the strongest choice for published ethics and consumer policies; Keen is the easiest low-cost marketplace to test; Purple Garden is the best fit for live video; and Mysticsense offers the broadest combination of formats and modalities. Those are platform recommendations, not claims that any advisor can predict the future.
Use a reading as entertainment, spiritual practice, or a prompt for personal reflection. Do not use it as a substitute for medical, mental-health, legal, financial, or emergency advice.

Quick comparison: online psychic reading platforms
The table below ranks services by practical use case rather than alleged psychic accuracy. Reviews, years of experience, acceptance rates, and platform screening claims can help you judge customer experience, but none independently proves paranormal ability.
| Platform | Best for | Formats | Introductory offer or pricing | Satisfaction remedy | Main limitation |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Psychic Source | Published screening, ethics, and broad formats | Phone, chat, video | First-time offers as low as $1 per minute; regular rates start at $0.99 per minute depending on advisor and format | Possible account credit or time back | Requests generally must be made within 24 hours, and the company may refuse a request |
| Keen | Large marketplace and inexpensive first trial | Phone, chat | Five minutes for $1 with participating advisors; regular rates vary widely | Support review for a dissatisfied first call | Large choice means advisor quality and style vary; there is no live video option in the reviewed material |
| Purple Garden | Video-first, mobile readings | Video, chat, voice | Up to $30 in promotional credit on a first purchase | Up to $50 in Purple Garden credits under the current policy | Credit is not cash; the guarantee applies only to a first session with a particular advisor |
| Mysticsense | Modality and format variety | Phone, video, text chat | First five minutes credited after the first session, but an initial deposit is required | Check the current satisfaction or refund terms before buying | The introductory credit is capped and is not a no-payment trial |
| California Psychics | Structured network and tiered pricing | Phone, chat, text | Advisor tiers currently show $1, $2, or $4 per minute | First-reading account credit within seven days; later claims generally have a 24-hour window | Remedies are generally platform credit, not unrestricted cash refunds |
| AskNow | Phone-first customers | Phone, online chat | Rates advertised as low as $1 per minute; some participating advisors offer five introductory minutes | Up to 10 minutes of refund or replacement time for an eligible first experience | The strongest guarantee is limited mainly to a new member’s first call |
| Kasamba | Open-marketplace variety and chat | Primarily chat in the reviewed promotion | Current mobile-chat promotion advertises three minutes with each new advisor; confirm eligibility | Up to $50 in account credits for an eligible unsatisfactory first session | Its terms say it does not verify advisor identity, qualifications, credentials, or licenses |
| Oranum | Live-streaming and international spiritual categories | Video chat, video calls, voice calls, messages | Free introductory chat is available; private-session prices should be checked before booking | No specific guarantee was established from the reviewed FAQ | Live-streaming and a broad practitioner marketplace require careful individual vetting |
Best platforms by what you need
Best for published ethics and consumer policies: Psychic Source
Psychic Source says it has operated since 1989 and carefully screens applicants. That is a company statement about its process, not independent proof that its advisors possess psychic abilities. It is nevertheless useful for readers who want a traditional network with clearly published rules.
The service supports phone, online chat, and video readings. Its pricing page says first-time customers may find introductory rates as low as $1 per minute, while regular rates start at $0.99 per minute depending on the advisor and format. Do not assume the promotional rate is the ongoing price.
Psychic Source also publishes a code of ethics. It says advisors must not request personally identifying information, solicit outside business, directly ask customers for money, or establish outside romantic or personal relationships with customers. The code also says communications may be recorded or saved privately, which matters if confidentiality is a priority.
Its satisfaction process may provide account credit or time back, but a complaint generally must be submitted within 24 hours and the company reserves the right to refuse a request. Appointment cancellations and unused appointment time may be returned as account credit. The practical conclusion: Psychic Source has one of the clearest published policy frameworks in this comparison, but its satisfaction process does not guarantee that a prediction will come true.
Best for choice and a low-cost first experiment: Keen
Keen currently advertises more than 2,000 advisors, with profiles that commonly show specialties, ratings, review counts, readings, years on the platform, rates, and available communication formats. It offers phone and chat, making it a convenient place to compare several styles without committing to an appointment.
The current introductory promotion is five minutes for $1 with participating advisors. According to Keen’s promotional page, the conversation pauses before the offer ends so the customer can decide whether to continue at the regular rate. The same page says a dissatisfied customer can submit a support form after the first call and that Keen aims to respond within 72 hours.
Rates vary substantially. Current advisor listings include examples such as $2.25, $3.09, $5.99, $7.99, and $8.88 per minute. At $1.99 per minute, 20 minutes would cost $39.80; at $5.99, it would cost $119.80; at $9.99, it would cost $199.80. These are illustrations, not a universal price range. Always confirm the live rate before connecting.
Keen is a good starting point for readers who want choice and a cheap, bounded trial. A large number of reviews indicates customer activity and may reveal communication style. It does not show that predictions are accurate.
Best for live video: Purple Garden
Purple Garden describes itself as a mobile platform for live video, chat, and voice readings. Video can make it easier to judge whether an advisor communicates in a way that feels comfortable, and it may be useful when the session involves tarot cards or another visible tool. It can also create more social pressure to continue or disclose personal information, so set your budget before turning on the camera.
The current promotional page advertises $30 in free credit on a first purchase. That is promotional platform credit, not an unconditional free reading with no payment. Its payment policy effective February 22, 2026 says an unsatisfactory first session with a particular advisor may qualify for up to $50 in Purple Garden credits. The request must generally be made within seven days, the program can be used once every 30 days, and credits cannot be exchanged for cash.
A newer help article confirms that the guarantee applies only to the first session with a new advisor and that the credit is not cash-refundable. If a call fails before it is established, unused credits are normally returned automatically.

- Historic Classic - This beginner tarot deck is based on the classic Waite Tarot, originally illustrated by Pamela Coleman Smith under the direction of Arthur Edward White in 1910. This deck uses symbolism and imagery to offer self-knowledge and self-enlightenment, providing individuals with insight and understanding into their lives.
- Tarot Learning Tool - Our beginner tarot deck with meanings on them includes the meanings of the cards in both upright and reversed positions, making them great for beginners to learn and remember interpretations. The cards also feature zodiac, elemental names and symbols, numerology, and yes/no/maybe, offering reference information for tarot readers to enhance their understanding and practice of the art of tarot.
- Superior Quality - The tarot decks with guidebook are durable and made of 350GSM paper, able to withstand frequent use without losing color or shedding paper. At 4.72" x 2.75" in size, they are easy to shuffle and comfortable to hold. The cards' content has undergone multiple professional reviews to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Visually Appealing - The minimalist design of KLEDERY tarot for beginners features a simple black background, allowing readers to focus on its symbolism without distracting the intricate design. The edges are decorated with delicate, elegant lines for added sophistication.
- Included Items - The tarot cards for beginners with meanings on them contains 78 cards, with each card is printed with a wealth of reference information. The accompanying color guidebook offers helpful tips and interpretations for beginners and experts alike. The flocked storage bag protects the cards from negative energy, ensuring optimal condition.
An older Purple Garden help page says the service generally does not provide refunds. Because that page was updated in May 2024 while the more specific payment and satisfaction policies are from 2026, use the newer policy and check the live terms at checkout. Purple Garden’s current terms state that readings are for entertainment and do not guarantee accuracy.
Best for formats and spiritual modalities: Mysticsense
Mysticsense offers phone, video, and text-chat readings. Its searchable marketplace currently displays more than 1,000 online psychics, giving readers access to a broad range of styles and modalities.
The first-session promotion requires an account and an initial deposit of at least $10. After the first reading, Mysticsense credits the first five minutes based on the advisor’s rate. The credit is capped at $10 when the initial deposit is $10 and $15 when the deposit is at least $15. In other words, the offer is a post-session account credit that requires money upfront, not a free reading with no payment.
Mysticsense is especially useful when you know you want to compare tarot, astrology, mediumship, energy work, or another approach across phone, video, and text. Because its satisfaction and refund language can involve credits and eligibility conditions, inspect the current policy before depositing money. A broad marketplace increases availability, not verified accuracy.

Best for tiered, traditional pricing: California Psychics
California Psychics currently groups advisors into three broad price tiers: $1 per minute for advisors generally described as having three to five years of experience and average ratings around 4.6; $2 per minute for advisors generally described as having five to 15 years of experience and average ratings around 4.8; and $4 per minute for advisors generally described as having 10 or more years of experience and ratings of 4.8 or higher.
The site offers phone, chat, and text, subject to advisor availability. Experience and rating tiers make the marketplace easier for a beginner to navigate, but neither a higher price nor more years on a platform proves greater psychic ability.
For first-time customers, the satisfaction policy allows a full account credit request for an unsatisfactory first reading within seven days. Later paid readings generally have a 24-hour request window. The full terms say the normal remedy is California Psychics Dollars rather than cash, may be limited to the equivalent of 15 minutes, is generally limited to one unsatisfactory paid reading per month, and does not apply repeatedly to the same advisor. The company explicitly says it does not guarantee predictions.
Best for phone-first readers: AskNow
AskNow offers phone and online chat readings and advertises rates as low as $1 per minute. Promotional pages currently offer five free minutes with participating Master or Elite advisors, usually in connection with an introductory purchase or package.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →AskNow says that if a first reading does not provide meaningful insight, it may offer a one-time refund or credit of up to 10 minutes with another advisor. Its terms describe the satisfaction guarantee as applying mainly to a new member’s first call, requiring prompt written feedback, and potentially providing either a refund for the initial 10 minutes or replacement time.
AskNow also claims that fewer than 2% of applicants are accepted after screening. That is a self-reported company claim, not an independently audited accuracy test. Choose AskNow for its phone-first experience and published first-reading remedy, not because the acceptance figure proves that its advisors are gifted.
Best for open-marketplace variety: Kasamba
Kasamba can suit readers who want a large range of specialties and chat-based access, but its terms require especially careful individual vetting. Kasamba says it does not verify an advisor’s identity, qualifications, credentials, or licenses. It also states that advice is for entertainment and should not replace medical, mental-health, legal, or financial professionals.
A current promotional page advertises three free minutes with each new advisor for mobile chat, but eligibility and availability should be confirmed at checkout. Its satisfaction program may provide up to $50 in account credits for an unsatisfactory first session with a particular advisor, provided the request is made within seven days. The program applies only to a first session with that advisor and can be used once every 30 days.

The combination of multiple free-minute offers and a broad marketplace can encourage repeated sampling and unplanned spending. Set one total budget rather than moving from advisor to advisor whenever a reading feels uncertain.
Best for live-streaming spiritual categories: Oranum
Oranum describes itself as a live-streaming spiritual community where users can interact through video chat, video calls, voice calls, and messages. Its Free Chat section lets users interact with a broadcaster before starting a private consultation.
Categories listed in the FAQ include astrology, tarot, clairvoyance, dream interpretation, healing, crystals, mediumship, numerology, runes, palm reading, and energy work. This is useful for readers who want to browse different traditions or assess communication style before paying. It also makes it important to compare the actual private-session price and privacy terms rather than assuming a public stream represents a full reading.
Can you tell whether an online psychic is genuinely gifted?
Not from the public evidence normally displayed on a platform. The word gifted is not an independently standardized credential, and there is no reliable public method reviewed here for proving that a particular online advisor has paranormal powers.
Platform claims should be described precisely:
- Screened: the company says it evaluates applicants according to its own process. It does not mean independent testing has proved psychic ability.
- Verified: it may refer to identity, platform status, or an internal label. Ask what was actually verified.
- Accurate: usually a marketing description or customer opinion, not a controlled measurement.
- Highly rated: evidence that customers reported a satisfactory experience, not proof that predictions came true.
- Experienced: evidence of time practicing or time on a platform, not evidence of supernatural reliability.
Use ratings to assess kindness, clarity, responsiveness, and professionalism. Read recent reviews for patterns, but do not treat a perfect score or thousands of reviews as a scientific accuracy record. An advisor who says they are clairvoyant, mediumistic, empathic, or intuitive is describing their approach; the claim should not be rewritten as an established fact.
How to choose an individual advisor
- Match the specialty to the question. Look for a clearly described focus such as tarot, astrology, mediumship, relationships, career, grief, or general reflection.
- Check the method. A good profile should explain whether the advisor uses cards, charts, mediumship, intuition, or another practice.
- Read recent reviews, not only the star score. Look for comments about clarity, listening, pacing, and whether the advisor respected boundaries.
- Compare the price with your budget. A popular advisor may be expensive. Popularity is not proof of accuracy.
- Look for uncertainty and boundaries. Be cautious of anyone promising 100% accuracy, guaranteed reconciliation, lottery numbers, or a specific future outcome.
- Keep communication on-platform. An advisor who asks for your phone number, money, gift cards, cryptocurrency, or private payment outside the platform is a major warning sign.
- Check the remedy before starting. Find out whether a poor session qualifies for cash, account credit, replacement minutes, or nothing, and note the complaint deadline.
Do not choose an individual advisor from a permanent online list and assume the recommendation will remain current. Availability, rates, specialties, and reviews change. Use the live profile on the platform you are considering.
What online psychic readings cost
Most marketplace readings are billed by the minute. The basic calculation is:
Total cost = per-minute rate × billable minutes, plus any applicable tax or platform charge.

Before connecting, confirm the regular rate, when the timer starts, whether it stops automatically, whether there is a minimum session, and whether unused funds expire or remain as account credit. A promotional credit is not necessarily cash-equivalent. On some services, the words free minutes mean a discount, a required deposit followed by credit, or a credit available only with a participating advisor.
Refunds, credits, and satisfaction guarantees
Read the remedy literally. A guarantee of satisfaction is not a guarantee that a prediction will be correct, and an account credit is not the same as money returned to your card.
| Platform | What the current policy may provide | Important condition |
|---|---|---|
| Psychic Source | Account credit or time back | Complain within 24 hours; the company may refuse the request |
| Keen | Support review for a dissatisfied first call | First-call and introductory-offer conditions apply; confirm the result with support |
| Purple Garden | Up to $50 in platform credits | First session with a specific advisor; request within seven days; once every 30 days; no cash conversion |
| Mysticsense | First five promotional minutes credited after the first session | Initial deposit required and credit caps apply; inspect the current satisfaction terms separately |
| California Psychics | First-reading account credit; later satisfaction remedy subject to limits | First request generally within seven days; later requests generally within 24 hours; usually not cash |
| AskNow | Up to 10 minutes of refund or replacement time | Mainly a new-member first-call remedy and requires prompt feedback |
| Kasamba | Up to $50 in account credits | First session with that advisor; request within seven days; once every 30 days |
| Oranum | No specific guarantee established from the reviewed FAQ | Check the private-consultation and payment terms before booking |
Safety rules for online psychic readings
Stop paying and leave if an advisor creates fear or urgency. No legitimate reading requires you to buy immediate spiritual protection, reveal passwords, send money privately, or keep the session secret.

- Do not pay for curse removal, evil-spirit removal, blocked-energy cleansing, or emergency protection.
- Do not send gift cards, cryptocurrency, wire transfers, or payment-app transfers to an advisor.
- Do not accept guaranteed reconciliation, guaranteed lottery numbers, guaranteed employment, or guaranteed legal or immigration outcomes.
- Do not let an advisor pressure you into extending the session or buying repeated rituals.
- Do not provide unnecessary personal information, financial details, passwords, exact home address, or private information about another person.
- Do not treat a prediction about death, pregnancy, illness, arrest, or financial ruin as a fact.
- Do not allow an advisor to tell you that only they can save you or that you must hide the session from family, friends, or professionals.
These risks are not theoretical. The Federal Trade Commission documented deceptive psychic billing practices involving allegedly free readings, misrepresented costs, false free-minute claims, and collection tactics. The Better Business Bureau has warned about social-media psychic scams involving sessions that never occur, fake reviews, and expensive cleansing or evil-spirit-removal upsells.
The FTC’s broader scam guidance identifies unexpected contact, pressure to act immediately, and payment demands involving gift cards, cryptocurrency, wires, or payment apps as major warning signs.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Privacy and professional boundaries
Before booking, check whether the service:
- Records or transcribes the call, chat, or video.
- Shows the advisor your real name, email, phone number, birth date, or location.
- Allows advisors to request outside contact.
- Monitors conversations for safety or quality.
- Explains how long transcripts are retained.
- Charges maintenance or inactivity fees on unused balances.
Psychic Source’s code of ethics says communications may be recorded or saved and prohibits advisors from requesting identifying information or soliciting outside business. Purple Garden’s current terms prohibit disclosure of personal contact information through the service and state that third-party payment providers may be involved. Purple Garden also has account-maintenance language concerning inactive positive balances, so review the current terms before leaving money in an account.
Keep the professional boundary clear. A psychic reading is not a replacement for a doctor or nurse for symptoms, diagnosis, pregnancy, medication, or treatment; a licensed therapist for a mental-health crisis; an attorney for legal matters; or a licensed financial professional for investments and taxes. If someone may be in immediate danger, contact emergency services rather than an online advisor.
A safer protocol for your first reading
Before booking
- Set a hard spending limit and decide that you will not exceed it.
- Choose one bounded topic, such as how to think about a career decision over the next few months.
- Pick phone, chat, or video based on comfort and privacy, not alleged accuracy.
- Shortlist two or three advisors and compare their methods, rates, recent reviews, and boundaries.
- Save a screenshot of the advertised rate and promotional conditions.
- Read the satisfaction policy and note the complaint deadline.
At the start
You can use an opening such as:
I want to focus on my career decision over the next few months. I am looking for perspective, not a guaranteed prediction. Please explain how you work and what you can reasonably cover in this session.
This gives the advisor an opportunity to explain the method and reveals whether they answer directly, ask reasonable questions, respect uncertainty, and stay within the time limit. Be cautious if the first response introduces curses, supernatural emergencies, secrecy, or expensive follow-up work.
During the reading
Disconnect if the advisor pressures you, asks for off-platform payment, demands secrecy, requests sensitive information, gives professional instructions as though licensed, or claims that only another paid ritual can prevent a frightening outcome. A compelling emotional experience is not evidence that the claim is true.
After the reading
Write down what was said while it is fresh. Separate emotional impressions from concrete claims, and wait before making an important decision. If you are dissatisfied, contact the platform through its official support channel before the applicable deadline and ask exactly what remedy is available: cash refund, account credit, replacement minutes, or partial credit.

When another service is the better choice
For many questions, a different kind of help is safer and more actionable:
- Emotional distress or trauma: a licensed therapist or counselor.
- Career decisions: a career counselor, qualified coach, or trusted mentor.
- Investments, debt, or taxes: a licensed financial or tax professional.
- Legal questions: an attorney or accredited legal-aid service.
- Health concerns: a doctor or licensed clinician.
- Low-stakes uncertainty: journaling, talking with a trusted friend, or using tarot and astrology as symbolic reflection rather than factual forecasting.
How to interpret comparison pages
Be cautious with rankings that present a permanent list of the most accurate or most gifted psychics. Advisor availability, rates, reviews, and platform policies change. Some comparison sites also have commercial relationships. For example, MysticMag says commercial agreements can affect rankings; Eastern Alignment discloses that it may earn commissions; and TopPsychicReviews displays advertising and partner disclosures.
A trustworthy comparison should distinguish platform-published facts, independently verifiable information, affiliate recommendations, customer testimonials, and editorial judgment. The recommendations in this article concern usability, transparency, formats, pricing, and recourse—not paranormal outcomes.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are online psychics real?
Some people use psychic, tarot, astrology, or mediumship readings as spiritual or reflective practices. However, there is no reliable public method for proving that a particular online advisor is genuinely gifted or that predictions are paranormally accurate. Treat platform screening, reviews, and terms such as verified or accurate as marketing or customer-experience signals, not proof.
Best Value
How much does an online psychic reading cost?
Most services charge by the minute, although some offer fixed-price or message readings. Current examples include Keen advisor rates ranging from roughly $2.25 to $8.88 per minute in the reviewed listings and California Psychics tiers of $1, $2, and $4 per minute. Check the live rate, taxes, minimums, and promotional conditions before connecting.
Are free psychic readings really free?
Often not in the ordinary sense. Purple Garden’s $30 offer requires a first purchase, Mysticsense requires an initial deposit before crediting the first five minutes, and other platforms restrict free minutes to participating advisors or introductory packages. Read whether the offer is a discount, a post-session credit, or a cash-equivalent refund.
Which is better: phone, chat, or video?
Phone is conversational and private from the standpoint of typing; chat is easier to pause and leaves a written record; video provides more face-to-face interaction but can feel more socially intense. No format has been shown by the reviewed evidence to be more accurate. Choose based on comfort, privacy, pace, and budget.
Can a psychic tell me whether my partner is cheating?
A reading cannot reliably establish another person’s private behavior. Treat any claim about cheating as speculation, not evidence. For a relationship concern, consider a direct conversation, trusted support, or a qualified counselor, and do not share another person’s private information unnecessarily.
Free tools Windows power users keep installed

Can psychics predict the future?
Platforms generally describe readings as entertainment or guidance and disclaim accuracy. A reading may help someone reflect on possibilities, but it should not be treated as a verified forecast or used alone for medical, legal, financial, relationship-safety, or emergency decisions.
Can a psychic remove a curse?
Be extremely cautious. Claims that you have a curse, evil spirit, or urgent supernatural problem that can be removed only by paying the advisor are major scam warning signs. Never send money, gift cards, cryptocurrency, or repeated payments for spiritual emergency services.
What should I do if a psychic scares or pressures me?
End the session, do not make another payment, save the profile and billing records, and contact the platform through its official support channel. Report suspected fraud to the FTC at ReportFraud.ftc.gov. If the advisor requests off-platform payment or threatens you, preserve the messages and contact your payment provider or relevant authorities.
Can I get a refund if the reading is poor?
That depends on the service and the deadline. Psychic Source may provide credit or time back within 24 hours; Purple Garden and Kasamba generally offer account credits under specific first-session rules; California Psychics generally provides platform credit; and AskNow may offer up to 10 minutes of refund or replacement time for an eligible first call. A satisfaction policy does not guarantee a correct prediction.
The Tool Desk
Outbyte PC Repair FREEClear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Are online psychic readings confidential?
Do not assume they are fully confidential. Check whether calls or chats are recorded, whether advisors can see your identifying information, whether outside contact is prohibited, and how transcripts are retained. Psychic Source says communications may be recorded or saved, while its ethics code prohibits advisors from requesting identifying information or soliciting outside business.
Can I use a psychic for medical, legal, or financial decisions?
No. Use a doctor or licensed clinician for health, a therapist for mental-health concerns, an attorney for legal matters, and a qualified financial or tax professional for money decisions. Online readings should not replace professional advice or emergency services.
How do I report a psychic-reading scam?
First use the platform’s official complaint channel and save receipts, profile information, messages, and payment records. For suspected fraud in the United States, report it to the FTC at ReportFraud.ftc.gov. Also notify your bank, card issuer, or payment service if money was taken deceptively.
The Bottom Line
Bottom line: Choose an online psychic platform for transparent pricing, clear complaint rules, privacy protections, and respectful boundaries—not for unverified claims of being the most gifted or accurate. Psychic Source is the strongest policy-led option, Keen the easiest low-cost marketplace trial, Purple Garden the best video-first choice, and Mysticsense the most flexible for formats and modalities. Start with one question, a short session, and a hard spending limit. If an advisor creates fear, demands secrecy, requests off-platform payment, or sells a supernatural emergency, leave.
