Now You See Me and Now You See Me 2 were temporarily available to watch free with advertisements on Tubi in January 2025, but that offer has ended. The sequel is not still “upcoming,” either: Lionsgate lists Now You See Me: Now You Don’t as a November 14, 2025 release.
The three films can currently be found through paid subscriptions, rentals, or purchases, but the cited U.S. listings do not show a free streaming option.
The original “free on Tubi” report was accurate—but temporary
The headline behind this story came from a real January 2, 2025 report. At that time, Now You See Me (2013) and Now You See Me 2 (2016) had reportedly been added to Tubi in the United States, where viewers could watch them without a rental fee in exchange for viewing advertisements. The original report from ComicBook.com therefore described the situation as it existed at that point.
That does not make the films permanently free on Tubi. Ad-supported catalogs change, and a title can remain visible in a search result or catalog page after its free viewing window has ended. A listing alone is not proof that playback is still available.

Where the first two films stand now in the U.S.
According to JustWatch’s U.S. listing for Now You See Me, the first film is available through Philo and several Starz-related services, but JustWatch reports no free streaming option.
JustWatch’s U.S. listing for Now You See Me 2 likewise reports no free option. Its paid listings include:
- Philo
- Starz
- Starz Amazon Channel
- Starz Apple TV Channel
- Starz Roku Premium Channel
These are subscription or channel-based ways to access the films, not free streams. Availability can differ by location, account, platform, and licensing period.

- The Four Horsemen return along with a new generation of illusionists performing mind-melding twists, turns, surprises, and magic unlike anything ever captured on film.
The “upcoming sequel” has already been released
The other outdated part of the original headline is its timing. Now You See Me: Now You Don’t is no longer an upcoming film. Lionsgate lists the third film as a November 14, 2025 release.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesThe latest U.S. availability check lists Now You See Me: Now You Don’t on Philo, YouTube TV, and Starz-related services, with rental and purchase options also available. JustWatch reports no free streaming option for the third film either. See the current U.S. JustWatch listing for the sequel before choosing a service.
Can you watch all three on Prime Video for free?
No. Amazon’s current franchise guide says all three films are available on Prime Video to rent or buy. That is different from being included with an Amazon Prime membership. Amazon specifically notes that a Prime membership is not required for those rental or purchase transactions.

- The Four Horsemen return along with a new generation of illusionists performing mind-melding twists, turns, surprises, and magic unlike anything ever captured on film.
In other words, seeing a film associated with Prime Video does not automatically mean that it is part of the Prime subscription catalog. Check the price and the wording on the individual title page before starting playback.

What “free streaming” meant in the original report
In the January 2025 Tubi report, “free” meant an ad-supported stream. It did not mean:
Rank #4
- From Summit Entertainment. Sequel to the 2013 hit NOW YOU SEE ME.
- that the films would remain on Tubi indefinitely;
- that every country could access the same catalog;
- that the films were included with Amazon Prime;
- or that the films could be downloaded or watched without advertisements.
This distinction matters because streaming rights are temporary and regional. A film may be free with ads in one country, included with a subscription in another, available only to rent in a third, or unavailable altogether.
How to check before signing up or paying
- Set the correct country. The availability information cited here is specifically for the United States.
- Search the exact film. Check Now You See Me, Now You See Me 2, and Now You See Me: Now You Don’t separately.
- Look for the access label. “Free,” “free with ads,” “included with subscription,” “rent,” and “buy” describe different types of access.
- Confirm on the service’s title page. A search result or third-party catalog entry may not reflect a recently changed license.
- Check the total cost. A platform may require a paid subscription, a premium channel add-on, or a separate rental fee.
JustWatch is useful for comparing current listings, but the final confirmation should come from the platform that will actually play the film. This is especially important for temporary ad-supported offers such as the earlier Tubi availability.

| Claim | Current assessment for the U.S. |
|---|---|
| Now You See Me is free on Tubi | Outdated. The January 2025 offer was temporary; the latest cited check shows no free option. |
| Now You See Me 2 is free on Tubi | Outdated. The latest cited check shows no free option. |
| The sequel is upcoming | Outdated. Lionsgate lists Now You See Me: Now You Don’t as released on November 14, 2025. |
| All three are free with Prime | Incorrect. Amazon identifies them as rental or purchase titles on Prime Video. |
| All three have a current free U.S. stream | Not according to the August 9, 2026 JustWatch listings. |
So the accurate update is: the first two films were free with ads on Tubi for a limited period, but they are not listed as free in the United States in the latest check. The third film has already arrived, and watching the trilogy now generally requires a participating subscription, rental, or purchase.
