Peter Joseph and The Zeitgeist Movement
Joseph founded The Zeitgeist Movement in 2009. His official biography describes it as a nonprofit sustainability advocacy group. The film-series site makes an important distinction: the movement was inspired by the films, but the organization’s work and the films’ specific arguments are not in tandem. Accordingly, Joseph’s views in films or interviews should be understood as his own positions, not automatically treated as official movement positions or as established consensus.
