The lumberjack profession rarely comes into the discussion of challenging and unsafe professions. You do not think of lumberjacks as people who risk their life and put it on the line anytime they pick up an axe.

Mining is widely regarded as one of the least safe professions. But lumberjacking is not far behind. Lumberjacks have to deal with huge and rough lumber on a daily basis. And those lumbers can fall right on top of them. We’ve seen it in cartoons, people screaming “timbeeeeeer”.

Well, while it seems like a joke when you see it in cartoons and movies, it is a reality for many people. This documentary takes a look at the lumberjack profession, and also explains a little bit more about lumber. How we go from a rough tree to a finished lumber? Check out and find out.
