The Earth Is Running Out Of Oil

This documentary looks into the crucial historical events, data and predictions regarding the global production peak of petroleum. The analysis is conducted using a number of interviews with political analysts, former OPEC officials, energy analysts, petroleum geologists and politicians. Among the interviewed parties are petroleum geologist Dr. Colin Campbell, energy investment banking CEO Matthew Simmons and former OPEC Secretary-General Fadhil Chalabi.

The materials used in this documentary are a combination of footage of the petroleum production with the news revolving around this industry. This documentary is focused on the materials and statements that support the projection of a near-term oil production peak. We are also looking into our oil dependence, portraying the necessity of it in a number of aspects in the society today. We depend on oil for clean tap water, clothing and transportation.

The main question in this documentary is what will happen if and when we run out of oil. We shall present to you a possible scenario in which we would have insufficient amount of oil on our planet. You will have a chance to see the difficulties that we would face without this highly important resource.
