But what are uranium deposits? Those are mines for uranium. There are more than 16 countries in the world with uranium mines. Kazakhstan, Canada, and Australia are the top 3 producers of uranium. Just for info, Australia mined 6689 tons of uranium in 2015 as the third ranking producer. In Australia, uranium has been mined since 1954.
