History of the Kings and Queens of England

England is famously known for its royal history. There have been countless of kings and queens in England dating from the 9th century till now. If you count only the monarchs that ruled the Kingdom of the Great Britain since the merger, there have been 12 monarchs.

With that in mind, when does the rich history of kings and queens start? Some say with Egbert, who ruled from 827 to 839. Others say that it starts with Alfred the Great, who initially ruled Wessex, one of the seven Anglo-Saxon kingdoms.

This documentary lists and explains all of the kings and queens in the rich history of Britain. Truth be told, the list is long, but that is all royal history.
