Gordon Ramsay is one of the most popular chefs in the world of food and restaurants. But in addition to being a great chef, Gordon cares about the environment. That is why he goes on a journey to investigate one of the more controversial dishes, the shark fin soup.

His passion for sharks leads him to this personal mission. In order to understand sharks, Gordon decides to take a swim with the deadly shark. That is one of his scariest challenges to date.

But if you’ve seen any of his culinary shows, Ramsay is fearless. As for the soup? The shark fin soup is a traditional dish in Chinese and Vietnamese cuisine. The dish is served at special occasions like weddings. In Chinese culture, the shark fin soup is considered a luxury item.

Statistics show that each year, more than 100 million sharks are killed. Gordon wants to explore whether killing of sharks is necessary, or is there any other way to make this popular and traditional dish.

Nature and environmental experts believes that one third of the world’s shark population will extinct due to overfishing. Gordon goes on a journey to change that, resulting in a campaign against the shark fishing industry.
