Domestic violence is a term used for violence or other abuse by one person against another in a domestic setting, including marriage and cohabitation.

We’ve come a long way in protecting people from domestic violence, but we still have a long way to go. Domestic violence was made illegal in all states of the United States by 1920. But it wasn’t until the 1970s when thanks to feminism and women’s rights movement, the emphasis was put on the subject.

This documentary takes a look at the menace to our society and how we can try to stop it.
