Watching the documentary, you will even think, this is made only for TV. The real training has to be tougher. And you are right.

But even this TV-friendly documentary shows the struggle and endurance of French Foreign Legion soldiers. They are training the Amazon jungle.

Filmed all over the world over a period of six months, the documentary shows one soldier going through some of the biggest challenges of his life.

Many legionnaires are stationed in French Guiana, and they love the jungle. That is the secret. In order to survive, you have to feel comfortable in the jungle. Do not see it as an enemy, and start seeing it as an environment which has much to offer. If you fight against the jungle, you will lose.
