Dear Basketball – Kobe’s Oscar Nominated Documentary

Kobe Bryant is one of the best basketball players of all-time. He has won almost any award there is. After numerous basketball awards, Bryant is now on a track to win an award he didn’t have in his portfolio, an Academy Award.

Kobe has been nominated in the Best Short Animated Movie, for his documentary, Dear Basketball. The movie was made in a collaboration with a famous animator and illustrator, and it features Kobe’s retirement letter.

The documentary was shown during Kobe’s jersey retirement ceremony, when the Lakers retired both his numbers, 24 and 8.

In his rich NBA career, Bryant won five NBA titles, two Olympic gold medals, one regular season MVP awards, and two Finals MVP awards.
